If you want to completely remove all customizations then you can go under
options, then manage applications. You can either disable or delete them
from there. If you disable or delete them, Jaws should act the way it would
from a fresh install.

Hello,

the Trial version of our voices can be downloaded here:
http://www.ivona.com/webinstaller.php

Jaws supports SAPI5 standard, and our voices are compatible with it. No
other text reader ar any additional
software is required.

A single voice license allows to install the voices only on one machine
at the time. The Accessibility Package
allows installation on two computers.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Copying the name of a file

2011-01-23 Thread Mike & Barbara In Arcadia
Hi Norma;

What I just tried running XP Home & Jaws 10 is;
1. I opened the My Documents folder.
2. Invoked the Jaws key, control, shift, & W, keystroke. This virtualizes
the current control only.
3. Pressed control + A, to select all.
4. Control + C, to copy, & control + V, to paste into a Word document.

Now you will have to delete the file names you don't want but, it did only
copy the file names. This was only an experiment but, give it a try & see
if it works for you. Hope this helps. Take care.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Some new sapi5 voices that work with JFW

2011-01-23 Thread lmorris1953
I purchased and installed the Ivona Joey voice TTS. I want to use it with
jaws. However, I don't see it listed under voices in jaws 12. For that
matter I don't know where Joey has hidden on my computer. (smile)

Hello,

the Trial version of our voices can be downloaded here:
http://www.ivona.com/webinstaller.php

Jaws supports SAPI5 standard, and our voices are compatible with it. No
other text reader ar any additional
software is required.

A single voice license allows to install the voices only on one machine
at the time. The Accessibility Package
allows installation on two computers.

Ok great. I got bit lost on your web page to find the voices that will
work with JAWS. Would u pl send me the direct URL to learn about the
voices that work with JAWS independently, the synthesizer type with the

Second I should have asked this in my earlier email but pl reconfirm the
voices will work with JAWS on my PC even if I don't install your text
reader or any other Ivona software.

Third, how many PC's can I install the voices in parallel when I purchase
them?

Betsy,

That is not the correct procedure for what she wants to do. If you
are in a file list and highlight the name of a file and press
control-c as you suggest, what you are in fact doing is copying the
whole file. If you follow your procedure and then go to a
different directory, you can press control v and you will see your
file is there, including the data.

What she wants to do is just copy the filename, in which case you
highlight the file, press f2, then copy the name and press enter.

Hi Norma,
I'm a bit confused by the answers you received to this so perhaps I
didn't understand the question. If I am in a list of files and want
to copy the name to move it somewhere, when I am on the filename I
just press control c.

In the same file list situation, the usual conventions regarding
selection of contiguous and non-contiguous items still pertain.

re-name box.

then, press control+a to select, then control+c to coppy, then escape.
Now you can Paste it.

[JAWS-Users] WLM 2011 and JFW 11.0

2011-01-23 Thread Adi Kushnir
Hi.
We have a new hebrew version of JFW 11 now. It's the 1476 build like in English.
Can someone help me to get WLM to work well with braille and speach with this
version of JAWS?
I would appritiate Eric Damery's respond because he is from FS and he knows
what the product can do.
We need a fix.
We, in Israel paid $4000 US for JAWS and We upgrated to 11 only about two-three
months ago but, we have problems.
Can you fix this for us.
A user respond would be thankfull as well.
We have some other problems with JFW 11 but, this is not for the list.
You can talk to the distributer later.
I'm one of the people that test the product.

Thank you very much and have a nice day,

Adi Kushnir.

Hi all;
I have XP and 12.0
Many times when in O E, and I try to copy then paste info from an e mailin
to a word document, the information comes scrambled.
This seems particularly common when copying hotel confirmations or flight
information from O E in to word.

Is there a way to copy the information in a quick and neat manner?

Thanks for all of the advice.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Copy and paste in O E.

2011-01-23 Thread David

hello Rich;

give this a try;

1, open internet explorer;

2, once your HomePage loads,
press insert+v=adjust jaws options.

3, now press the letter "v",
you should hear;
virtual cursor options opened;

4, down arrow one time,
and use the spacebar to select,
select and copy from virtual cursor.
This option controls whether or not JAWS will use the Text Selection and
Copy Commands from the Web browser, e-mail software, or other owner of a
virtual document.
With the "From Virtual Cursor" setting, text is copied as plain text without
formatting, pictures, and HTML attributes.
With the "Full Content Using Onscreen Highlight" setting, the text and
elements you select are highlighted onscreen as you press selection keys
from the keyboard just as it would be in programs like Word Processors. The
content is then copied with all formatting.

The default setting is Full content using onscreen highlight.

once you have made the change, tab okay and press enter.
