[JAWS-Users] Changing type echo globally

2011-05-28 Thread T. J. Dawson
Hi All,

I am using the latest version of Jaws 12.1161 on a windows 7 32 Bit system
PC. . I have been through this topic with a fine tooth comb. I want to have
Word Echo on, which I can do on individual applications, how can I get
global recognition of this setting.

Each time I exit a program Typing Echo reverts back to Character echo.

I have tried to make the change in the Jaws settings etc, using execute in
the appropriate field even just closing the subject.

What am I missing? Regards

Trevor.

Hello there
Did you try just simply using the modifier and the number 2 which changes
from characters to words to both characters and words?

Give it a try and let me know okay???

Hi All:
I'm looking for a media player solution that is similar to iTunes.
It doesn't have to be a store,
just to be able to play music and handle mp3s well.
I already tried iTunes but it was reacting super slow.

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and J12.

In your Jaws window, go to the help menu and find the start wizard.
Once there, tab till you hear Jaws say next then you should hear something
about key echo.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Changing type echo globally

Regards

Trevor.

[JAWS-Users] jaws authorization problem

2011-05-28 Thread Patrick
Hi,
I'm trying to install jaws on a 64 bit laptop.
I tried using the dvd but only a few items were installed but not the jaws
speaking program.
Then I downloaded jaws 11 so as to avoid 12. I then installed jaws 11 and used
my authorization disc I have from v 10. It would not accept it.
Next I downloaded v 10 and used the v10 authorization disc.
I receive an error message stating that I need to call fs to get any further
authorizations.

is there something I am missing. Shouldn't it be taking the authorization disc?
Thanks,
Patrick
She brings me good things.
