[JAWS-Users] Strange Problem.

2011-06-14 Thread mandy
I am using Windows 7 with JAWS 12 and am unable to use Internet Explorer as
when I try to link onto a site from my favourites list or even enter on a link
in an email it says (no links) and simply hangs there.
Firefox works but none of my sites are stored in favourites or bookmarks on
there and I am wondering whether there is something I have altered in settings
to make this happen.
I am also unable to perform a system restore which I thought might have
reversed the situation for me.

Also I installed a piece of software which my bank recommended which seems to
be causing the trouble but I cannot uninstall it as nothing happens when I try.

Help!!!
Mandy.

My problem is solved now a neighbour managed to uninstall the Reppore programme
so if any of you on here are with Santander don’t install it as it prevents
JAWS working properly with the internet.

Dear Friends,
I forgot what the Short cut Key command to Voice Profiles is.

You know to change to the different voices.

Thanks!

FS will probably be ready for Win 8 when JFW 14 comes out. Win 8 won't be
out until late next year and FS usually releases the latest version by
fall...

Just when you thought you had mastered Windows 7 OS, along comes Windows
8. According to this article Windows 8 will probably not be released for
over a year. But it will be interesting how FS handles Windows 8 going
forward in the future.

Alan,

Check this site out. This might help just in case the grape jelly does not
subside.

I believe it covers jaws 11 and newer.

2011-06-14 Thread Linda Vanderlitz

David:

You under-rate yourself (or, for that matter your fellow helpers). I am
sure you could manage wonderfully. Look at all you've accomplished since
you started the List. And, as Lists go, this one has far fewer wrangles or
fights than almost all the others I've been on (and they have been several).

Keep up the wonderful work and bless you for all that you've done so far.

I wonder why you are surprised at the membership numbers? You run a great

It occurs to me that I haven't posted such a message for quite a while so
here is the current subscriber total to this list. Not counting the mail
archive service that I have been using for several years we now have 554
members. Personally I'm impressed or to say the least surprised.

Blind computing now has 398 subscribers. I'm glad there is a lot of
space

for the database on the server.

The most important thing is that things remain orderly on here which as a
rule they sure are, thanks to the membership for making our jobs of
running these things on the easier side lately.
