Hello Brian,

Thanks for refreshing my memmory. Funny, I tried creating the bookmarks
through the menubar and it wasn't working for me. With the keystroke
shortcut though, it seems to work as it should. Who knows, maybe I was doing
something wrong. In any event, I appreciate your help.

Hello Cris,

When you use CTRL+Shift+function key 5, the bookmarking dialog box appears.
The add button is not in it until you start typing in the name of the
bookmark in the edit box. After typing in the name you can tab to the add
button and use spacebar. Remember not to leave spaces between words in the
bookmark name.

Take care.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Save v Save as

2011-07-27 Thread inthane
save as is a double use item, 1. the first time you save a new item, the
"save" command invokes the save as command so you can name the document,
choose the file type you wish to save it as, and select the location where
you want it saved.

the second time you use "save" it saves any changes you have made to the
document since the last time it was saved.
if you use save as, as the other person said, it allows you to change the
file type, you can also change the name of the document, and where its saved

so if I have made a list of things required for a project, and wish to copy
it to my roommates shared documents folder on the house network, I could
copy it and paste it there, I could use the send options I have added to my
send menu, or if I have it open, or wish to do it this way I can use the
"save as" command in the file menu to select his shared drive as the "where
to save" location, enter on the save button, and *bang!* he now has a copy
of the document.

"Save as" I think allows you to save in a different format from the
original.

Example: you have a document with extension .docx and you nedd to save it
as a txt.

Hope that helps.

Save will save the document generally with the same title and format. Save
as will allow you to save the document as a different file name and often,
you can tab over once and choose from a variety of different formats
depending upon the program.

Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.

[JAWS-Users] WordPerfect X5 script

2011-07-27 Thread Marijan Janev

Hi Friends,
Because I have to use WP15 on a 32-bit win7 machine, and jaws11 and 12
don't come with any script for that program, I have to add a line in the

ConfigNames.ini
something like
wpwin15=WordPerfect X3
in order to use WP13 scripts under the 15. But I faced the problem -
when I move character by character PC-cursor doesn't read the unicode
characters like Cyrilic letters, and speaks only Euro, euro, etc. It
happens independantly on the fact if the reveals codes are switched on
or off. I'm not a scripter at all and don't know what causes the
function SayCharacter in the script not to function properly.

Is there any idea or suggestion how to solve this problem?
It's very important for me, unfortunately.
Thanks in advance for any help.

M.

It you want to change the document name, use f2 on the name of the document
without opening it and just rename it by typing over it.

I have 12.0 andXP pro.
In a word document that has been saved; How do you change the title?
Is there a key stroked to do this or, do I have to make a copy of it in a
new document and enter the new title?

Thanks for your help.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Save v Save as

2011-07-27 Thread Angela Delicata
"Save as" I think allows you to save in a different format from the
original.

Example: you have a document with extension .docx and you nedd to save it
as a txt.

Hope that helps.

Hmmm, Using Windows 7 and Jaws most recent, Outlook 2010
This doesn't work for me.

I only have to press the space bar to get the options for different phone
number types. When I go to Address Jaws states press space bar. I have
tried that, tried Control spacebar, tried enter tried alt down arrow,
nothing will activate the address type chooser.

Frustrated!

Hello Dixie,

You can use CTRL+spacebar on the address type button to get a menu of
choices. If you select home by pressing enter on the home choice, you can
tab and fill in the home address in the edit box. Press CTRL+spacebar on
the address type button again to make a different choice and use the edit
box to fill in a work or other type of address. You can do the same on the
buttons for phone type to get choices like car phone, company phone, call
back, pager, TTY and other choices not shown by default in the regular
dialog.

Take care.

Using Outlook 2010 and Jaws most recent

When filling in the fields in a contact and choosing the type of address is
there some way to activate the address button?

It says press space bar to activate the address type chooser, but nothing
happens, I have tried enter also and still no results.

Presently I can only fill in an address as a business address and am
not able to access the other choices, home, home 2 etc.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
