Hi John,

Try the following;
1. Open a Word document, press Alt + T for tools, press the letter O for
options
2. Find your General Page.
3. Tab down to, Provide feedback with sound, uncheck this box if it's
checked, press enter to save your changes / close.

 It should be [pointed out that Word has its own sounds as well, for when
 you get to the top or bottom of a file there, particularly if you
 installed a version of office Sounds or have turned sound notifications
 on.

  If you changed the top and bottom alert in the Default JAWS
  configuration,
  check to see that it is also turned off in the Word 2003
  configuration.
  While Word 2003 is the active application, press JAWSkey+v to open

   Hi,
   I am using Jaws 13 on Windows 7 64-bit. There is one annoyance
  which I
   recall used to happen with Jaws 7. When navigating a file list and
  I
  reach
   the top or bottom item, a ding sound is played by Jaws. The same
  sound
   occurs when editing a Word document and you reach the beginning or
  end of
   the document.
   This may seem petty, but that sound really annoys me. I have search
  through
   the Jaws settings and cannot find how to turn this off. This
  behavior
  does
   not occur in Jaws 11 running on XP, nor did it occur with Jaws 6, 9
  or
  10.
   Any help will be appreciated.

Hello there;
Well, first;
If your using windows 7,
You're not using
MS Outlook Express
Because there's not such a thing.
However MSOutlook is more likely.
So, if you've deleted the files/content inside the inbox,
Then, this is as far as you can go.
You can't delete the inbox, since this is a part of the outlook/pst file.
If I'm understanding you correctly.
Why do you want to delete the inbox?

Dear Mick,

If you are in your listing of messages, tab over twice until you reach your
folder listing. Arrow up or down until you reach the folder you want to
delete, then press the Applications key. Then press D for delete. Then you
will get a dialogue asking if you are sure that you want to delete this

Hello there;
Well, first;
If your using windows 7,
You're not using
MS Outlook Express
Because there's not such a thing.
However MSOutlook is more likely.
So, if you've deleted the files/content inside the inbox, Then, this is as
far as you can go.
You can't delete the inbox, since this is a part of the outlook/pst file.
If I'm understanding you correctly.
Why do you want to delete the inbox?

Hello there;
Well, it appears your using MSOutlook2007 instead of outlook express, You
should be able to highlight the folder, and press the applications key and
up arrow to delete.
Is this folder inside the inbox,
Or is it on the same level as the rest of your folders.

Hi Mick,

In your subject line it states that you wanted steps for OE, Outlook
Express. From looking at the properties of your email it looks like you're
running Outlook.  Since I don't run Outlook I can't help you .  I changed
the subject line to reflect the email client you are running.

Take care.
