[JAWS-Users] JFWApi.dll
Hi everybody on this list, I'm new on this list so first of all let me intrroduce myself: My name is Tshaba. I'm from Hungary and I'm programmer by profession. I'm not blind but I have very low vision. I use Vista with JAWS 11 because it is the last version available in Hungarianlanguage. (I have installed the versions above it and I know their functionality, but in my all-day-work I use the version 11, because the others lacks the Hungarian langage support.) I use JAWS together with the built-in screen magnifier of Windows, because Magic I have found not suitable for me and JAWS provides more functionality an comfortability than Magic. I'm very new for JAWS too, because I use it not longer than about a year. Currently I'm working on some projects, which would need some built in support of JAWS. I have read about JFWApi.dll, which is installed with JAWS together and provides a COM object modell of JAWS, which could be used by other applications needed JAWS support. Could everybody help me in connection with it? How could I finde a detailed description of the fuctions, methods stored in this library file? Or some useful code examples... [JAWS-Users] What does the pause key do?
Hi all, Does anyone know what the pause key does? It's the most right button in the set of 3 with the print screen button to the left. Not sure what the middle button is. [JAWS-Users] Tabs on web sites
Good morning every body. It is the first time that I make a question on the list. I have a problem with some web sites, where it says things like, select the tab x. But with Ie, i don't see anything that says tabs, or that looks different. I understand a tab is like a tab like we have in the control panel, and we move through these things with control tab, but been on a web site, I can't figure out how select each tab. What is this issue of tabs on the web? how can I select a tab or access this part on the web site? Thanks all. Re: [JAWS-Users] Tabs on web sites
Hi Pablo, Can you give us a Web site where this is notable? I think I've seen this sort of thing before, but could usually work out an alternative means of doing what needed to be done. Unfortunately, in their quest for modernity, more and more Web sites are leaving Internet Explorer behind. Regarding tabs, there are some interesting controls (that open new tabs, etc.) in the tabbed browsing section of Internet Options, General page, that you might like to play around with. But, when finished, you will need to remember to either restore your IE settings to their defaults or to restore them to what you previously had, or your IE won't work so well on other difficult Web sites. - Original Message - From: Pablo Morales pablomorale...@gmail.com To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Wednesday, April 03, 2013 4:29 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Tabs on web sites Good morning every body. Re: [JAWS-Users] What does the pause key do?
Hi Stephanie, I don't know whether the Pause (or break) key does anything in Windows, but it apparently used to, in DOS, stop printing or other activity. The middle key of those three is the Scroll Lock Key; and you sometimeds hear of it being used as a JAWS key. - Original Message - From: Stephanie Koetje skoe...@nwcenter.org To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Wednesday, April 03, 2013 4:22 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] What does the pause key do? Re: [JAWS-Users] What does the pause key do?
The pause key is used in most windows before vista as a short cut key to get to system properties by holding down the left windows key and hitting pause, much faster than going to control panel then to system, but in 7 and I believe vista, it brings up a list of various options, it also is used for sighted techs durring boot to pause on the various screans so they can keep track of the items on the screen, Hope this helps Joseph For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
