[JAWS-Users] help needed with sound taxi
Hi can anybody help me out with using sound taxi please? I am trying to convert some audio files, I’m using win 8 and jaws 14 and have installed sound taxi pro along with the jaws script for it. I am managing to select the files that I wish to convert, then it asks for my audible info which I enter but Jaws won’t read anything out to me after that. I have tried looking for an online tutorial for jaws users but there doesn’t seem to be any. I can’t even seem to access any settings or menus. Can anybody explain to me how to set it up so that any file placed into the chosen folder wil automatically be converted into a format of my choosing? And also, where will the converted files appear? Re: [JAWS-Users] Can't pull up this internet article with JFW
True, but don't confuse the Sun Oracle Java script with the Adobe Java add-on tool. They are entirely different bests. I have uninstalled Oracle Java when the security flaw was exposed last January. I haven't encountered a website that has caused me any issues since then. I am cognizant that there are instances where cross-platform apps use Java and that there are times when Oracle's Java is mandatory. In those limited cases, I would install it with a browser, then only use that particular browser for those instances and use another browser for all other web activity where Oracle's Java isn't necessary. Take my advice, I don't use it anyway. Tim- Are you referring to Scripting of JAVA Applets? Mine is set to 'enabled'; but I've wondered about JAVA because the IE status line often says things like JAVA void or something like that and it has made me wonder. I've never manually installed JRE on this new computer after reading and hearing contradictory things about it on this list and from FS tech support. Is it required for IE to work well- and is it installed automatically with IE or do I need to download it? [JAWS-Users] revisitting burning a movie onto dvd was accessible burning programs
Hi, I used burnaware, dvd flic, windows dvd maker was a flop (not the version I had in mind) and express burn kept saying no room on the dvd. I was unsuccessful with all of them. Does anyone have any program other than what I mentioned that I can use to burn a movie onto dvd? Using jaws 14 and windows 8. Thanks everyone! [JAWS-Users] jaws 14 with itunes 10
Hello, I posted this question before, but it somehow didn't make it to the list. I am using itunes 10. I honestly do not like the new itunes so I'm reluctant to switch. I am currently running JAWS 14. I am able to accomplish tasks like importing and just recently have figured out a way to use the itunes store. However, I need some suggestions on how I could independently accomplish syncing my ipod. I know it's a standard usb connection, but the problem is knowing when it is safe to remove. Are there keyboard commands for this? Also, how can I create playlists in itunes? I am able to click the button for new playlist but I don't see a way to select specific songs. Finally, does anyone know how to burn CDS in itunes? For example, if I've created a playlist that I want to burn to a CD, what steps would I follow using JAWS? Guess what??? That G8 article site I could not get to with IE and JFW14 came up immediately with my just-now-installed FoxFire browser and JFW14... so it is definitely a browser issue!
