Hi Kathy,
You shouldn't need any additional software to watch on-line.
The videos should play in your browser with no problems.
It only costs if you want to have the programs without advertisements.

Sue,
Try a simple insert + V and down arrow to punctuations or press P and set it
to none and that will knock all the punctuations. Press the spacebar to make
the changes.
Or you will have to live with quotations..

Hi Susie Q,

Follow the steps below but, in the steps below the, apostrophy, is used as
the example. In your case insert quotes for apostrophy.

You can change how Jaws speaks the apostrophy in the Settings Centter
default all applications by doing the following:

1. Press Insert + 6, on the number row above the main keyboard to open the
Settings Center, press, Control, shift, + D, to open default all
applications.
2. Arrow down to, Punctuation closed press right arrow to open.
3. Arrow down to customize punctuation press the spacebar to open. Don't
press enter here, if you press enter instad of the spacebar, the Settings
Center
will close.
4.A. When making changes in the customize punctuation list, if you do not
want
Jaws to speak/recognize a particular punctuation mark you want to choose the
all selection. You will have 4 radio buttons to arrow up or down
through. They are none, some, most, all. In these selections they work
backwards than what you would think. For example; If you choose none
for the dollar sign, Jaws will speak / recognize every dollar sign in
whatever you are reading. On the other hand, if you choose the all
radio button, Jaws will not speak / recognize any dollar signs.

4.B. After you pressed the spacebar on customize punctuation, you are now in
a list of punctuation marks. Arrow down the list and when
you have the punctuation mark you want to change highlighted, tab 1 time to
the radio buttons that I mentioned earlier.
5. Keeping in mind what I mentioned earlier about these choices working
backwards, select the box in this list, in your case not wanting any
apostrophy's spoken, choose the all button.
6. Now, if you want to make a change to another punctuation mark, shift tab
back to the list and highlight a different punctuation mark, tab back to the
radio buttons and select the box you prefer.
7. After you are done making your changes tab to okay and press the
spacebar.
8. Tab to apply, press the spacebar, tab to okay, press the spacebar to save
your changes close the Settings Center.

Now, I hope that you are not as confused as I am after typing all of this.
LOL Hope this has helped.

Take care.

Maybe 7 is out.
This program will allow someone to go into your pc to fix something for you.

These steps are for XP, I haven't messed with it in Wind7.

But, you are going to need some info from the control panel under system.

I think is the computer ID number.

When you give it to your friend he'll have access into your pc, as long as
your internet is up.
The other person does not have to give you their computer ID number.

Give it time to connect.

Also, you will have to allow another computer to be able to go into your
computer by checking or unchecking.

In the control panel in the windows firewall under the acception tab
Do this before opening team View from the desktop.

I only used it one time and I'm blabbing from in between my ears.

If, it's not there check the folder options

Hi Guys,
I have installed the U.S. Vocalizer Expressive voices on my machine. I have
used Ava a little and I don't think that I have ever heard a happier
sounding synthetic voice, unlike Samantha, who always sounds a little mad.
I wish that Ava was available for my iPhone. Overall though, for JAWS, I
still prefer plain old Eloquence. I have used it for 15 years or so, ever
sense they started packaging it with JAWS, and I have just gotten so use to
it that it seems a little strange using anything else. The Eloquence voice
itself sounds very robotic but I think that it does a better job at very
high speeds and the pronunciation is a little better than many of these more
natural sounding voices.
Thanks,

Allison, Ava, Smantha, and Tom are the U.S. voices. However, they are very
expressive as was discussed in the latest FS cast as compared to previous
versions. The direct version does not indicate caps by raising pitch like
the expressive version. I am using Ava myself and am very happy with the
response on my Windows 7 64 bit running both jaws and magic with 6 gigs of
ram.
I am not up on all the additional voices for other countries but I am
impressed with all the vocalizer expressive voices out there for everyone
already.
I am also very happy with the first public beta so far.
It's playing very well with Magic 12 and comes in handy on all these
overcrowded web sites today.

14. Using Jaws 15 everything is OK.

When I use the K to find place markers, the Cursor goes to the proper
location, but I hear No place markers. These bugs are not found by me in
Jaws 15 or Jaws 13, but only in Jaws 14.

On my work machine running Windows 7 - 32 bit, the problem is not found in
any version of Jaws. I imagine the developers will have some problems
squashing this one.

[JAWS-Users] Yahoo Mobile Mail

2013-09-13 Thread Jim Slagle

Yahoo Mobile Mail took away from many of us the ability to delete more than one
spam e-mail at a time.
Now, it occurred to me that deleting spam is mostly a favor to Yahoo Mobile
Mail.
Now I am just letting spam accumulate, and Yahoo will have to pay for its
storage!
I already have a hundred spam messages for Yahoo to pay for!

Best wishes,
Jim

Re: [JAWS-Users] Yahoo Mobile Mail

2013-09-13 Thread Scorpio

The mobile site does allow for mass deletion of the spam folder.

Aside from that, you can delete up to ten messages per page by checking each
of the boxes before each message.

Aside from that. there is a combo box with more actions that allows you to
empty spam folder. Once this selection is picked in the combo box, simply
press enter, or tab to the Go button and press the spacebar to activate.

At this point, you will receive a confirmation message asking if you are
sure you wish to remove all the messages from your spam folder.

Actually like this version better, as previous versions didn't allow you to
check the box and mark it as not spam, whereas in previous versions, one had
to open up the message in order to mark it as not spam.

In any case, hope this helps.

I'm glad to see I am not alone on this one. My home machine is running
Windows 7 - 64 bit and what you describe is an issue when I am using Jaws

Take care.

[JAWS-Users] Stopping JAWS from speaking Windows standard commands.

2013-09-13 Thread abdulaziz dapilin
Hello everyone.
is there a way or a specific script that could stop JAWS from speaking
every taps of Windows standard commands? For Instance, windows + D,
Alt + D, windows + equals, Alt + enter a lot more. I know that
attaching these JAWS spoken standard commands in a particular script
will do the job. but since, knowingly keystrokes or commands not are
not specific to JAWS appear to be countless, if not impossible, It is
difficult, time consuming, and most importantly risky to write script
for each commands with in the default script file as this may affect
JAWS operation.

Any help, solutions, or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Center
will close.
4.A. When making changes in the customize punctuation list, if you do not
want
Jaws to speak/recognize a particular punctuation mark you want to choose
the

all selection.

4.B. After you pressed the spacebar on customize punctuation, you are now
in

a list of punctuation marks. Arrow down the list and when
you have the punctuation mark you want to change highlighted, tab 1 time
to

the radio buttons that I mentioned earlier.
5. Keeping in mind what I mentioned earlier about these choices working
backwards, select the box in this list, in your case not wanting any
apostrophy's spoken, choose the all button.
6. Now, if you want to make a change to another punctuation mark, shift
tab
back to the list and highlight a different punctuation mark, tab back to
the

radio buttons and select the box you prefer.
7. After you are done making your changes tab to okay and press the
spacebar.
8. Tab to apply, press the spacebar, tab to okay, press the spacebar to
save

your changes close the Settings Center.

Now, I hope that you are not as confused as I am after typing all of this.
LOL Hope this has helped.

Take care.

[JAWS-Users] FW: Lost the Mystery Contact List in Outlook 2007

2013-09-13 Thread Jorge Rivas
Hello Club,

I'm running XP Pro, Jaws11 on a 32 bit Ford Model T.

For some reason I lost the mystery contact address list in outlook 2007,
BUT, not my main contact address list.

It was so easy before just typing the first couple letters of their first
name/email address and you could move on much quicker through the body of
the email.

Your mystery contact list is a different list, away from your main contact
list.

I appreciate the help, if you can guide me on how to reset outlook2007
mystery contact list to work when I write to a new person or reply back to a
new person.

The problem is, it doesn't store anyones email address I write too/reply
who's not in my main contact list or in my main contact list either..

On the too field, if I press alt + period or control + shift + B; I can
select from my main contact list in outlook 2007 and that's working fine.

So, I have to type in a address everytime or use my main contact list and my
main contact list really consist of my family and my personal friends only.

Even to write to the club I have to type the address in, I don't have to
type in any address in my other laptops, because the Mystery contact list is
working perfect???

I really would appreciate the help, if anyone can tackle this monster?

Thanks in advance.

Cherio!

silence, by using the space bar as the replacement word.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Quotes, Stopping Jaws From Reading Them

 Center
 will close.
4.A. When making changes in the customize punctuation list, if you do not
 want
Jaws to speak/recognize a particular punctuation mark you want to choose
 the
all selection.

 Take care.
 Mike
