[JAWS-Users] OWA and JAWS

2013-11-02 Thread Alana Jovanovski
Hi,

Is it possible to navigate the OWA website in the standard version, not the
light version? I need to recover deleted items, but the layout does not
appear accessible with JAWS 14, whereas the light version does. To recover
deleted items one needs to right click on the deleted items folder and press
recover. JAWS will not tell me where recover deleted items is, nor will it
give me that option, the usual context menu comes up, even with the JAWS
cursor.

Thanks.

Alana

[JAWS-Users] trouble with Jaws and Ms word

2013-11-02 Thread Lovette Yewchan
Hi there. I am using Jaws 14 with MS WOrd 2013.
I find it very often jams up when I am in Word 2013.
I am using Windows 8. Can I use ms word 2010 or 2007 with better consistency?
Or is Jaws 15 better for this?
I was doing a job tonight and spent a lot of time waiting for the programs to
decide whether they liked each other or not.
Hope someone can advise.
Thanks.
Lovette

What version of OWA are you using? I know that at work we have now all
moved over from OWA 2007 to OWA 2010.

HI Sugar. I've had this trouble a couple of times. The problem I found was
despite everything I did I couldn't get rid of it because outlook kept
trying to send but it was too large. What you have to do is Go to your file
menu and click on Work offline then close outlook and wait for around 60 to
90 seconds to be sure the programme has completely shut down. Now re-launch
outlook and go to your outbox and delete the file, you should find it goes
this time. Once it has gone, you can then go back to your menu and click on
Work Online and that should solve the problem, it has done so for me but I
was working on XP but the principle should still apply. Walter.

 Hi Linda,

In Office 2007 or 2010, if you just want to read a PowerPoint
 presentation,
once the file is open, press F5. Space bar or page down moves focus to the
next slide and page up moves focus to the previous slide. Escape will get
out of the mode which F5 placed you into, at which point you can press
 Alt+F4 to close the program.

I'm using jaws v15 with skype on windows seven. When I sign out of skype
and
try to close the program it will not close. Even when I use alt f4 to try
and close skype it stays open. The only way I can close skype is to reboot
the computer. Any ideas and help is greatly appreciated.

2013-11-02 Thread Walter Ramage
Hi Sugar. Don't worry, you are not being a bug, that's the reason we are
all on this list; to give help as well as receive it. First! I am using
JAWS 14 on Win7 and Outlook 2007. While in my inbox and with no emails open
I press the alt key and arrow down (or up) and I find the option Work Off
Line. If you are using a version later than outlook 2007 then you might
find the option in the Send/receive section but I'm not sure which tab that
will be in, . you will have to explore and try and find it. If you are
using Outlook 2007 or earlier then you should find it in the file menu.
Another way to try and go off line is to launch internet explorer and the
same option is in the file menu there, see if that works. Walter.

2013-11-02 Thread Hans Pauli Sundstein

Hi Scott.

At first you must run the archive tool in Outlook, so your message folders
and addressbook folder are stored.

Than you should findd
them in your Document's folder, in a subfolder named Outlook-files.

Don't have Office 2007 myself, I am running Office 2010 and 2013, but
hopefully the description work's.
