Yes, on your flash drive, creat a folder called audio+podcast.
now, in that folder, you can put music files or folders within the audio

the player will only play back mp3, and wav files.

Hi Rich,
Thanks for the info. I have been using Win 7 for about e months now and
don't have any issues with it. I am using Outlook 2010 and I find it fairly
easy to use as it is somewhat like using Outlook Express like we use to have
in XP.
I think Outlook 2010 is a lot easier to use then windows live. I do have my
windows live come into my Outlook 2010 and that works great.

Hi Everyone,

Sometimes, I will get an error message in whatever program that I am
using

at the moment and JAWS will stop speaking until the error message is
cleared. For example, if I am using IE and I get the message "Internet
Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close", JAWS will fall
silent until I hit the "close" button to close Internet Explorer. It
will

not read the error message. I either have to get someone sited to read
the
error message or I run another screen reader to see what is going on.
Now,
when JAWS stops speaking, I will hit the space bar so that, if this is
the

problem, it will close the error message. I have also encountered this
with
Word and Outlook. I am running JAWS 15 but this happened with JAWS 14
too.
This has occurred ever sense I have had this computer. I have not had
this
problem on other machines. This is the only PC that I have used that is
running Windows 8. I don't know if it is a Windows 8 thing or something
specific to this computer. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Scott Duck

Re: [JAWS-Users] does chrome work with jaws

2014-01-21 Thread Greg Wocher

Hello,
I am using IE11 on two different computers with no problems. I have
never been able to get Chrome to play nice with JAWS at all. There are
many pages I frequent where I will not be able to use JAWS shortcut keys
to navigate by links or headings. JAWS just keeps saying no headings or
no links found even though when I arrow up and down it will tell me
something is a heading. I know it is JAWS because if I switch over to
NVDA the page works fine. I would not recommend Chrome with JAWS just yet.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Win 7 and JAWS 15

2014-01-21 Thread Trish
nope. I just did it myself this morning. The menus to setup settings the way
you like are pretty straightforward in using. It couldn't get really any
easier on the install with the talking installer, if you can hear and tab
and spacebar, your in business..
The settings section is a drop down list, all elements are closed, right
arrow to open and down arrow in the list. I did something this time I've
never done before and I am really liking it, I always in past put jaws in
the system's tray, but decided to try it the other way, it's been a very
easy transition.
Of course, we each have our preferred settings, but it's easy to find, and
oh thank you Eric and FS for keeping grandpa in the list, he's just my all
time favorite.

The following works in IE 10 now. The formatting is lost in Firefox,
however.

I am using Jaws 15, Win 7 and IE 10.
Use the Jaws command T to go to beginning of table.
Up arrow once and pay attention to the number of rows and columns.
Press F8 to highlight whole table.
Control C to copy table.

Paste into program of choice.

Some tables will work in an Excel spreadsheet easily if you highlight the
proper number of rows and columns before pasting.
One of my banks works beautifully this way and I keep a spreadsheet that I
add to directly from the bank website. My other bank has a convoluted table
format that does not paste into Excel in a usable format.

The following works in IE 10 now. The formatting is lost in Firefox, however.

One of my banks works beautifully this way and I keep a spreadsheet that I add
to directly from the bank website. My other bank has a convoluted table format
that does not paste into Excel in a usable format.

Re: [JAWS-Users] authorization number problem solved

2014-01-21 Thread Trish
I had some ongoing issues with my authorization recently, but just maybe
since I have finally got off my procrastinating behind and have installed
the latest Jaws 15, it went off without a hitch, so maybe my issues are
fixed.
I think we or me here get comfortable with prior versions that to run the
next upgrade is like pulling teeth. I don't expect anyone else here to get
that reasoning but lil' o' me here.

I sent a message earlier asking about how to find the authorization
number if the authorization cd was lost. I found the solution, so
there's no need to respond to my previous message. Thanks.
