Tom,
If, you have IE,
Simply remove FF out from your program list, then, re-install FF with IE.
That's what I would do.
And then hopefully it will work correctly.

Re: [JAWS-Users] problem using the function keys with Jaws

2014-08-20 Thread Patti
Hi, here is a thought.
Do you have insert mode turned on, because if you do all you have to do is
press insert and let go, and press the other key.s This acts like you have
the insert key pressed down.
Here is how you turn insert mode on
1, press insert 6, on the number row
2, press ctrl shift D
3, arrow down to users
4, right arrow
5, down arrow to insert mode
6, make sure it is checked
7, tab to ok.
I hope this makes things better.
Patti

Hi James,
You have to angle your hand and stretch those fingers with the left hand.
And with the right press the insert.

It works on this end.

HTH,
Jorge

How exactly do I do this? My problem is that I can not hold down the FN
Key, the insert Key, and the f7 key all at the same time. Do I press
the Shift Lock key and the FN key at the same time? Or, do I press the
Shift Lock key first and then the FN key?

Thanks for your help so far.

Use the shift lock key and FN key along with the function keys row. I have
the same issue with my Gateway laptop.

Use alt h then a to bring up the about screen. You can read it with the
jaws cursor or insert v command.
