They probably run into the thousands and I’d like to delete them. I found the following on Apple’s site: http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT2905 This is fine if it were only a few tracks, but I’d like to be able to delete them all at once or at least in large batches. This option isn’t mentioned in the support article. Does anyone in fact know how how this can be done? Either with iTunes itself or a Jaws accessible third party software? Way back when, I had actually come across some scripts for this exact issue on my XP machine, but that was many moons ago and my XP Pro computer gave up the ghost a while back and I can’t recall where I found those scripts. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. what about Vipre Internet Security/Vipre Antivirus? Although the 2015 version is said to have screen reader compatibility issues, it is being worked on to fix those issues. But in the meantime, 2014 can still be used, with a reg file to prevent 2014 from automatically upgrading to 2015, and a reg file to allow the upgrade once it's okay for us blind users to do so. - Original Message - From: Sachin sachinantony...@gmail.com To: Jaws Users jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Friday, November 21, 2014 8:55 AM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Jaws Antivirus Hi List Members, to prepare a seminar Paper on the topic of the influence of Screen Readers in the field of Antivirus.I would like to know about the big names in Antivirus field it's compatibility with Jaws. For that purpose I made a quick study made a list of top Antivirus.According to the surveys conducted by many sites, these are the top Antivirus availavil today. Now I need your help.I would like to know which of them are Jaws-friendly.I know this is not a silly job so take your time Pleas Help Avast ESET Total Defense Symantec Norton 360 2014 Bitdefender Total Security 2014 G Data TotalProtection 2014 Kaspersky PURE 3.0 Total Security eScan Total Security Suite 1 Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security F-Secure Safe 2014 Bullguard Internet Security 2014 McAfee LiveSafe 2015 Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium Lookout Security Antivirus Qihoo 360 Internet Security 4.3 Panda Global Protection 2015 Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security Complete 2014 AhnLab V3 Internet Security 8.0 For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/

I think that calling tech support is good advice, because you may have a faulty JAWS installation. There's perhaps another thing. I know that with Window Eyes, certain menu choices are locked out depending on the user level you choose, I. e. beginner, intermediate, or advanced. Could that be the same case for JAWS? [JAWS-Users] Issue with Jaws 16
Hi Group, A friend of mine is having a problem with JAWS 16. Here is his problem below. Hello, all. I am wondering if anyone is experiencing this frustration with JAWS 16 and if you have any suggestions (besides going back to JAWS 15) of a setting I might check on my computer. I am using JAWS 16 on a Fujitsu laptop, Windows 7 64-bit. I have 8 mb of RAM and a 2.1 processor. When I read through a document line by line, using the down arrow, JAWS often rereads the line, even though I have pressed DownArrow. In addition, I am a fast typer, and sometimes I notice skipped letters. I could blame this on my typing, but I did not see it until I installed JAWS 16. I contacted FS Technical Support and, upon their recommendation, did a repair of the install. As that made no difference, I uninstalled JAWS and all shared components and reinstalled from the DVD. Still no success! This is the most frustrated I have been with a JAWS release in many years. Again, I am wondering if there is a setting I need to check on my computer, but all other versions of JAWS run smoothly. Any suggestions you can give me would be much appreciated. Have you installed the Audible Manager? Have you authorized the stream with an SD card in it? Those are the first things that you need to have done before you can download a book. If you have difficulty doing those things, an Audible tech person can help you remotely. In the U.S., the number is 1-888-283-5051. There should also be directions in the VR Stream manual and FAQ. I have the first generation stream and there were directions for that so I assume they now have them for the second generation stream as well. Also, there's a blind audible list. To subscribe, Send a blank email to: blindaudiblelisteners-subscr...@yahoogroups.com If you have the Audible manager and if you've authorized your stream, you may have realized that the books in My Library are in a table format. The download link is at the end of each row for each part of the book. You can use the companion software to transfer the book to your SD card by pressing control U to get to the books in your audible folder on your computer. Or you can cut and paste them into the $VRAudible folder on your SD card. Or you can do it the slower way by connecting your stream to the computer and transferring the books directly from Audible Manager. Arianna, Yes, I do remember you from those trips. That was a long time ago and a lot has changed. Anyway, the stream being registered with NLS doesn't have anything to do with being authorized for Audible. Is this a new stream and is the book in your audible account from an account connected with an old stream? If this is a second generation stream, I think you need to ask about this on the VR Stream users' list because you're talking about using the stream to download directly from Audible. I don't have a second generation stream or a smart phone and I don't know how the Y Fi works with the stream. My Stream is registered with NLS. It shows up in Audible Manager. I purchase one book and still have one credit left in audible. The thing is, I can't find the book I purchased as a credit. My second generation Stream is connected but the book doesn't show up anywhere in there. There is an Audible folder in the Stream, though no books are in it. Strange. Do you remember Lou and me from the two Italy trips with Bob wilhelm? We remember you. Re: [JAWS-Users] [EXTERNAL] Re: Jaws OCR problem
I'm not sure if that is one of the sources of the problem, but I did uninstall it and then reinstall it and that did the trick. At least the JAWS search command is showing up in my list of managers now. Having said that, I still need to call them as my OCR is definitely not reading PDF's. When I press space bar and insert and then the letter O, all is good until I press the letter D, and then it says OCR has failed to start. Maybe I am doing it wrong. I'll have to check the directions again to find out. Thanks for the feedback.
