Re: [JAWS-Users] rootkits
Hi Anna, Rootkits whether on their own or jointly are usually tracking sofftware put in by companies or people to protect their software from unauthorised copying (of CD's, DDVD's, etc.) As such, they act as pyware. Why not look it up in Wikipedia. -Original Message- From: anna vimini Sent: Monday, December 22, 2014 6:34 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] rootkit Hi , I am trying to find out what rootkit is but all my searches come up with how to remove rootkit. so does anyone on the list know what rootkit are? This subject is not for this particular list since JAWS does not work in such an environment. Interestingly enough you state that in your message so this is something you are already aware of. [JAWS-Users] Turning email tables
Hello- I am using JAWS 14 with Windows 7 and I use Outlook 2007 to manage my emails. There are emails that I get from, LinkedIn, for example. I open them with an Enter and sometimes it opens into tables that I can't navigate so I create a temporary internet file and read them. Other times I open the same sort of email and there are no tables and I can read the content with ease. Are there any who can explain why the tables appear and disappear and if there is anything I can do to keep the table in the kitchen and not in my emails? [JAWS-Users] Overactive menu bar and Jaws
Hello list, So for the past couple of weeks, I have been dealing with an overactive menu bar in various applications. Be it Firefox, IE, Outlook, Windows Explorer, etc. I started noticing it with the first official JFW 16 release and it has continued with the most recent 16 update put out last week. This wasnt the case for the first few weeks of using JFW 16 so I initially dont think it to be a Jaws issue per say. Anyway, itll most frequently happen if I am in a combo box or some other field where I need to enable and then disable forms mode or if Im tabbing around the screen. The system menu bar will invariably pop up and I have to escape like crazy to get out of it. Often being placed in another applications window entirely. A while back, I had to reset my Windows 7 desktop theme as it had gotten switched I dont know how. Anyway, I got it back to the Windows Classic option. I dont know if this has anything to do with it as I dont recall if these two issues coincided, but off hand, I cant think of anything else that has changed in my PC set up to warrant this behavior. Might there be some obscure setting that may have been enabled/disabled or perhaps some other desktop theme that will play nice with Jaws that I can try? Id appreciate any feedback. [JAWS-Users] JAWS and SharePoint Designer 2010.
Hello to All, This is my first posting to the group after I joined earlier this morning! Got a question. Does JAWS V14.x or above work with SharePoint Designer 2010? If not, has anyone developed Scripts for the same? I tried using Jaws v14.x as well as v16.x with SharePoint Designer 2010 and Jaws is unable to even recognize the ribbon and icons within. Greatly appreciate some guidance. Cheers! Gopi Bala. For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
