[JAWS-Users] Making blank lines appear between paragraphs in Word 2010?

2015-02-09 Thread Flor Lynch
In Word 2010, how does one make it so that there is a blank line between
paragraphs? (The default seems to be that - whatever adjustments you make to
line width, height, etc. - there isn't a blank line separating them (two
presses of the down-arrow key instead of just one like there was in previous
versions of Word [unless you changed that formatting]. Or, is that only
because that's how other people wrote their documents? (I'm quite new to
using Word 2010regularly.)

Re: [JAWS-Users] turbotax and jaws

2015-02-09 Thread Scorpio Forever

It is accessible for the most part.

It often has focus issues, but none that can't be solved by an alt+tab, or a
seek of the Jaws cursor, but the easy step interview function is a great
time saver, and that part is very accessible. Intuit is touting it as very
accessible, and though I have found their claims to be lack lustre in the
past with their Canadian version of Turbo Tax called QuickTax, this new
version seems to be much better than it's previous incarnation.

In any case, I believe there's a web version that is supposed to be fully
accessible. I would suggest you try that version out first, as it's html
interface should be much more accessible with Jaws, as well, you can have
access to their live support if you find it inaccessible.

Good luck.

Re: [JAWS-Users] microsoft word 2010 document margins

2015-02-09 Thread Mike Boyd

Kevin,

I am sure that there are some shortcuts to perform this task, but I do not
know what they are. However, you can go to the Page Layout tab and tab down
one time to find the margins group box. Just tab up or down to find the
setting that you would like to apply to the document, and escape out of this
section. If you keep tabbing, you will find the Custom Margins section, and
can use this to set up the margins differently than one of the default
settings.

how can I change margins of a document, is there a shortcut key
I read that in word only the menus have changed, but all the shortcut keys
remain the same. the problem is I really never knew the shortcuts like the
most common ones.

It could be that you need to maximize the window for Excel.

Hi

I have a lenovo Yoga computer with office and Jaws 16installed. Excel does
not read the cells correctly if at all. Anyone else have this problem and
knows what‘s wrong?

Best
