Using win 7. When did the new control panel become updated? I just went into
control panel to remove a program and it has a totally different look. I
really like the new layout and the way it now works.
I normally just install all windows updates so I am not sure when this took
place.

Mike,

If you go into the Power Options dialog in Control Panel, you should find a
tab that allows you to determine how the battery charge state is announced.
At least that's a place to start.

Hi List, I’m having a bit of a brain freeze, so I’m hoping that someone will be

I’m using Word 2007 on a windows 7 computer with Jaws 16.

All of a sudden, Jaws is voicing things as: “New line” or “Paragraph mark” and
I have no idea what I did to cause this or how to stop it. My Jaws is still set
for intermediate and for “Some” punctuation.

When I went to the Jaws window and used Alt F and down arrowed to Voices, I
could not find anything for punctuation. Can anyone help?

Many sincere thanks!

Re: [JAWS-Users] Punctuation?

2015-06-07 Thread Carolyn Arnold
If you hit Alt V, that will put you in JAWS Verbosity. You will need to
arrow down until you get to the punctuation options, and you can opt for
none, some, most or all. It could be that there is something else in those
choices in JAWS Verbosity that would solve your problem, but I don't know
what that is.

One time I had some kind of smart tag or something and ended up calling
Freedom Scientific Customer Service. The woman I talked to was really smart,
got me right to what I had to do to make it stop doing that, and I believe
that it was in JAWS Verbosity. That was about ten years ago, so I don't
remember the details, only that we did get a solution.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Question on Malwarebytes

2015-06-07 Thread Michael Boyd
Yes, ADW Cleaner is very accessible and easy to use. The interface opens
when you open the program, and then you just tab down from one step to the
next. Are you running Malware Bytes 2.16...?

I like Malware Bytes just fine. I do have the premium version, but many
people are running the free version and doing well it seems. I would
recommend ADW Cleaner for AD Ware however, it also is a free program, and
it does a super job. Do a web search for it if you would like to try it,
like most softwares of this ilk, it will find things that others do not.

Hi Group,

I was wondering if Malwarebytes is a good program for removing adware and
if
it can be used with JAWS 16? Also Is the free version work with JAWS or
does
a person need the premium version? Any other suggestions on removing
adware

would be appreciated.

Ed
