The thing I'm trying to get with abby fine reader pro is a clean document
after scanning into word.
Is there more to just clicking scan to Microsoft word and setting the (can't
remember what its called) to 300, 200 or 600? I always also select plain
text hoping my snail mail will come out making sense without me trying to
figure out what the mail is trying to tell me. Lol.
I guess where I'm getting at in a round about way, if you could scorpeo
email me off list and tell me how you scan a doc into word and how much
cleaning must you do with the document after scanning.

Try resetting your IE from the advanced page.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws on tablets

2015-08-20 Thread Flor Lynch
Eric Damery took part in an FS podcast (FSCast) with Jonathan Mosen several
months ago, wherein he spoke of and recommended a partiuclar tablet that was
favoured for use with JAWS. (I think it was a Windows Professional version?)

sported a keyboard in some way. (If not USB, then Bluetooth.)

Anybody have worked on tablets without keyboard on tablets running windows?
It is possible to use jaws efficiently on a tablet?
It is the way to type on the virtual keyboard using jaws on tablets?
Thanks for any advice.

Hi Kimsan,

Try the following, it uses the Tab key as the example:

if you want the tab key silent;

you can try the following;
note,if you want the action to be global, you will need to do a
ctrl+shift+d=default.

1, open configuration manager,

so, insert+f2, then arrow and enter on configuration manager.
note again if you want the setting to be global, you will need to press
ctrl+shift+d here.

2, alt+s=options,

3, arrow down to,
keyboard options, or, just press the letter,"k".
your now on the keyboard general page.

ctrl+tab=KeyLabelsPage.
now tab into the list view.
now press the letter "t" until you hear tab, now, tab one time you will
hear; toggle mute button, so, press the spacebar, now, tab okay, enter,

you will most likely need to say yes to changes.
Take care.

I have that key assigned for a nav key in combo with another; however, it
keeps announcing alt, which gets annoying, so if it's not available in the
manage key lables to mute what do I do?

Hey folks,

I'm looking under the setting center/manage key lables. I'm unable to mute
the alt key. How can I mute this sucker?

I have that key assigned for a nav key in combo with another; however, it
keeps announcing alt, which gets annoying, so if it's not available in the
manage key lables to mute what do I do?

Re: [JAWS-Users] silencing a key

2015-08-20 Thread Kimsan
Yo bro:
Thanks for this but I'm unable to mute the alt key, as it's not there as a
choice in the manage key labels dialog. I tried muting the shift key but I
get this message:
JAWS Settings Center
The mute/speak state of Shift cannot be toggled because this key is used
in combination with other keys.
OK.
Maybe I should try the dictionary manager? Personal preference to always
hear alt windows shift all the time in this application I'm using.

Hi Kimsan,

Try the following, it uses the Tab key as the example:

if you want the tab key silent;

you can try the following;
note,if you want the action to be global, you will need to do a
ctrl+shift+d=default.

Take care.

2015-08-20 Thread Neil Towery
Not sure I sent the last e-mail to everyone. Here it is again.
There is one out there that is a good scan and read. But, you can not save
documents, within it. However, you can select information, copy it to a
clipboard, and paste it into a word document. I think there is another save
option, too.
It allows you to scan and read printed text - such as snail mail.
Not fancy, but allows you to read your mail.
It is called Text Cloner Pro. It is $100, instead of $1000.
 Go to:
Readingmadeeasy.com
Or do a google search for it. Anyone else out there using it?

I have never liked Quicken and for the most part it is very cranky with
JAWS. With that said QuickBooks 14 may not be much better.
However, I am using QuickBooks 15 with JAWS 16 and the My Blind Spot scripts
and it works very nicely.
