Yes, I have in my personal account the inbox, and all the beloved
subfolders, and my work email that uses exchange, also has its own inbox and
subfolders. I was getting ready to investigate; however, I can't seem to
get to the message rules options.

Kimsan, since I do not hav Outlook 2013, my Googling leads me to think:

if incomming email arrives in one inbox, I'm assuming you have created
personal folders that serve as the inbox folder for either account, meaning
one inbox for your personal account and one for your work account?

if so, my guess is to modify the filter that moves an email into it's
respective inbox folder to use a different sound when the email arrives.

this means you cannot have the default sound for an incomming email play
since you want a different sound played for each account.

I'm not sure if the process of creating/modifying a filter includes playing
a sound of your choice.

if this is possible, not only can you assign a sound for an email for an
account but you can also play a different sound for a targeted person, like
your boss.

I'm sorry for not giving steps, but is this clear as mud?

Hi Annette,
When you have the pc cursor on the formula have you tried routing the Jaws
cursor to the pc cursor and then right arrowing across the formula. Just a
thought. I know that workds on reading numbers in a cell without having to
use the F2 key.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS17 Not Reading Information in Excel2010

Hi All,

I am using JAWS17 on a Windows7 machine with Excel2010. The problem I'm
about to describe did exist when using JAWS16, but if I was persistent, I
could eventually get JAWS to read the information I needed. Here is what is
going on.

. JAWS will only read a portion of my formula from the beginning to
some place in the middle. The formula is 179 characters plus 6 spaces. It
used to be that if I used various navigational commands inside the cell, I
could evidentially read the formula. Now with JAWS17, It is just not
happening.

. When setting up a custom sort I cannot get JAWS to read the
contents of the various drop down lists. It used to be that if I opened the
list, arrowed to where I thought the criteria was that I wanted, tab away
from the drop down list and then back to it, when I opened it the second
time I could hear what I has selected previously. If it was not what I
wanted I would repeat my game of roulette until I landed on my desired
choice. Now if I manage to get JAWS to read something, it continues to read
some random value from the list.

Is anyone else having these issues? Does anyone have any ideas for work
arounds? I hope to have time Friday to call FS, but in the meantime, it
would be really nice to be able to get this task off of my desk at work.

Thanks,

Annette

2016-03-23 Thread Pinky
Hi Mike,
Thanks for sending these instructions. I did go and make some changes. I did
notice that my Jaws 16 is set different from my Jaws 17. On Jaws 16 with the
Tom high premium voice I had the pitch all the way up to 100. But on my Jaws
17 I only moved it up to 42%. Not sure why the different.
Now they both sound the same.
Anyway thanks for your great instructions.

Hi

You can only change the Pitch for the individual voices in a voice profile,
not the whole voice profile at once. When you're in the Voice Adjustment
dialog, do the following.

1. tab to where JAWS says Voice adjust all contexts.
2. Arrow down one time to PC Cursor Voice.
3. Tab 4 times and you will be on Pitch.
4. Adjust the pitch as you wish.
5. Back tab 4 times to Voice adjust.
6. arrow down 1 time to get to JAWS Cursor Voice.
7. Repeat steps 3 through 6 for each individual voice you want to change
the pitch.

When you're done, tab to Save as or OK and press enter.

Re: [JAWS-Users] copy single page of multiple pages

2016-03-23 Thread Negoslav Sabev
In word 2003 and jaws 12 the following will work for you. Let's say your
document has 12 pages, and you want to select only page 5.
1. Press ctrl+page down from the beginning of the file till you hear "page
5". You should be on the first row on page 5.

2. Be sure you're at the beginning of the row by pressing home key.
3. Press ctr+windows key+k and you will hear that a marker is placed.
4. Press ctrl+page down again to hear "page 6".
5. Press up arrow once to land on the last row of page 5, and press end key
to be sure you're at the end of the last row of the page.
6. Press insert+spacebar. When you hear the click sound, press the letter m.
At this point page 5 should be selected and you can do whatever your heart
wishes with it - copy, cut, delete etc.

If you're using MS Word, try shift-pagedown. I'm not sure it's always
reliable, but most of the time it does what you want. There are
alternative methods if this one doesn't work for you. You should indicate
which word processing application and version number you're using.

[JAWS-Users] JAWS17 Not Reading Information in Excel2010

2016-03-23 Thread Annette Carr

Thanks,

Annette

Re: [JAWS-Users] How to change the pitch or bass in Jaws using Tom high premium voice.

2016-03-23 Thread Mike O'Brien

Good suggestion. I updated to latest J17 and began Jonothon / FS cast.
