I also prefer total recorder because it have a input volume on its driver
wich the other don't have as far as I know. Also, I will not consider
vurtual recorder a alternative to a skype recorder because it does not start
and stop automaticly with a skype call and things like that.

No, it does not do anything you couldn't do with Total Recorder and
Goldwave; I also have both of those, but am still excited by Virtual
Recorder for several reasons:

1. It is free.
2. It is very simple to use.
3. It is very easy to install or may be used as portable.
4. It is very easy to configure.

I publish five podcasts and over 160 radio programs weekly, have many
presenters and collaborators all over the planet with different skills and
purchace ability, therefore Virtual Recorder fills a real need for me,
something that used to be easy, when most sound cards had Stereo Mix or
What you hear.

Regards,

Humberto

. Addressed issues with text sometimes becoming jumbled when typing
contracted braille using a braille display into various edit fields.
. In Windows 10, addressed a reported issue where JAWS was not announcing
the current level when expanding or collapsing tree view items, such as
books
in the Contents tree view in the JAWS help system.

reported issue where the URL of the link was being displayed instead of the
actual
text of the link.

. When attempting to position the cursor using a braille display cursor
routing button, addressed an issue where the cursor was not moved to the
correct

. In Firefox, addressed a reported issue where the contents of some edit
fields were not being read by JAWS while navigating with the Virtual Cursor.

Enhancements in JAWS 17.0.2007 (May 2016)

The following is a list of improvements made between the JAWS 17 April 2016
release and the May 2016 update.

To download the latest release, visit the Downloads web page.

JAWS
In response to customer feedback, FSCast notifications are only
checked for when JAWS starts, similar to the JAWS update
notification. You will not be interrupted during the day, unless you
happen to restart JAWS after a new FSCast has posted.
This update includes the latest braille display drivers from HIMS for
the Braille Edge and Braille Sense.
Dictionary pronunciation rules have been added so that JAWS now
correctly speaks the name abbreviation for American Printing House as
  "A P H".
Resolved an issue where the Braille keys button in the Braille Viewer
was not available. The Braille Viewer enables a sighted instructor or
developer to simulate using a braille display with JAWS when a
  physical display is not connected.
Addressed issues with text sometimes becoming jumbled when typing
contracted braille using a braille display into various edit fields.
In Windows 10, addressed a reported issue where JAWS was not
announcing the current level when expanding or collapsing tree view
items, such as books in the Contents tree view in the JAWS help
  system.
Resolved a customer reported issue where the Strike Out braille
marking option could not be enabled in Quick Settings.
Resolved a reported issue with braille not tracking properly in the
  Eclipse code editor.
Microsoft Excel
Resolved a reported issue where combo boxes in the Sort dialog box
were not being read as expected.
Microsoft Outlook
If a meeting request or reminder is received while typing an email
message, addressed an issue where JAWS was saying "selected" when
  pressing the SPACEBAR.
Microsoft PowerPoint
When using INSERT+F7 to list the links on a slide, addressed a
customer reported issue where the URL of the link was being displayed
instead of the actual text of the link.
Microsoft Word
When attempting to position the cursor using a braille display cursor
routing button, addressed an issue where the cursor was not moved to
the correct location when focused in a table.
Web Browsers
In Firefox, addressed a reported issue where the contents of some
edit fields were not being read by JAWS while navigating with the
  Virtual Cursor.
Resolved a customer reported issue with ARIA alerts not being spoken
  consistently in Internet Explorer.
When using INSERT+5 to hear the foreground and background colors,
addressed an issue where the background color in edit fields was not
  being reported correctly.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Accessible Skype Recorders

2016-05-03 Thread Humberto Rodriguez

Regards,

Humberto

I have total recorder and goldwave. Does this recorder do anything
different from those two which would make me consider downloading this
one? Thanks.

in terms of functionality, as far as I know, not really, except the
 portable
version can be used without having to install it. just unzip it and
 start
using it. what could be easier?

also, the installer might have freeware that you'll have to keep a
watch
 out
 for when installing.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Accessible Skype Recorders

2016-05-03 Thread Aidan
I also prefer total recorder because it have a input volume on its
driver wich the other don't have as far as I know. Also, I will not
consider vurtual recorder a alternative to a skype recorder because it
does not start and stop automaticly with a skype call and things like
that.
