Re: [JAWS-Users] windows 10 redstone more info
Hi, Windows 10 Home users will be asked to install it on the day of or shortly after release. Windows 10 Pro and up can defer upgrades for a while. The overall download size is 3 GB or more, and after installing it, you can use Disk Cleanup to remove temporary installation files. [JAWS-Users] Processes List, How To Copy The Whole List, Another Question
Hi David, The steps you posted below were excellent, but can you tell me how can I use the steps below to make a list for all installed programs in Programs & Features in Windows 7 using the command prompt? I got it done, but it was a long process. Also another way is to go to Speech History to get the last 50 items Jaws has spoken. Thanks again for all the excellent advice / help you give us list members. From: David Whitehead Hello, try the following; Open command prompt with admin rights So, type cmd from the start menu search box, or type cmd within the run dialog. Once the cmd.exe opens, Type in, Tasklist and press enter. Now to generate a copy of the list, Type in, tasklist>tasklist.txt note, make sure, you use, the grater sign between the tasklist and tasklist.txt now you can exit from cmd.exe. once you do this, go to, desktop, enter on owners name, example, Michael, You will land into the owner's folder, Now press the letter t=tasklist.txt Hope this helps. [JAWS-Users] Firefox Question
Hello, everyone. I have a question about something I have noticed since the last firefox update to Firefox 47.0. It used to be that when I clicked on a link to a file that was included in an e-mail, Firefox would go directly to the involved file, and I could read the contents of the file right there in the Firefox browser. Now, whenever I click on such a file, the file automatically gets placed in the downloads folder on my computer. The confusing thing is that this happens without any indication from Jaws. My sighted wife tells me that there is a blue downloads arrow at the top of the screen that you can click on to open the file. But, of course, I don't have a clue about that arrow, and how it can be accessed. I have noticed the same pattern if I manually copy and paste the link to the involved file into the Firefox Browser. I'm curious if anyone else has seen this new behavior, and if there are any settings I can change to get things back to the way they used to be. Thanks as always!
