[JAWS-Users] Adding Start Menu To SendTo
Hi All, Running Windows 7 Pro & Jaws16. I've added the Start Menu shortcut to my SendTo folder in my User Name / Mike folder, but it doesn't show up in my context menu in the SendTo submenu. How can I get the Start Menu to show as an option in the context menu / SendTo submenu? Thanks much. Take care. Mike Sent from my iBarstool. How do I get jaws 17 to stop saying "Pasword pasword edit?" I have a dell laptop running jawiths 17 (reinstalled) due to issues. Re: [JAWS-Users] need guidance in updating
Hi, The instructions can be found at the following Win10 group thread: https://win10.groups.io/g/win10/thread/frequently_asked_questions/191975?p=, ,,20,0,0,0::Relevance,,upgrading,20,2,0,191975 \In a nutshell, you should do: 1. Uninstall JAWS earlier than latest 16.0 build (try using JAWS 17 or later) using a free utility provided by VFO (formerly Freedom Scientific). 2. Download Windows 10/Media Creation Tool. 3. If using Media Creation Tool, tell Windows what you'd like to keep (I recommend keep everything if you are using Windows 8.1). 4. Your computer will restart a couple times. 5. After an hour or two, press Windows+U, then start Narrator to complete setup (I recommend choosing custom settings so you can turn off certain options). 6. Once Windows 10 installation is complete, try running JAWS. If it's misbehaving, try repairing it, and if not, uninstall JAWS completely, then reinstall it. You may need to activate JAWS once more due to possible ID change. 7. Late July: You'll get a prompt from Windows Update saying that a new build of Windows 10 is available. You should install this update if you are using Windows 10 Home, otherwise you can defer it until VFO says JAWS is ready for this upgrade (termed Anniversary Update or Version 1607). Re: [JAWS-Users] Updating to windows ten
Hi Kevin: Yes I'm aware the deadline is July 29, but if you will refer to your message of yesterday you will see that you said that anyone using assisted technology that the deadline did not apply. If you know the deadline for those of us with JAWS or other assisted technology please let me know? Thanks, George R. Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws friendly voip software?
You need to find software that supports SIP (Session Initiation Protocol). This is sometimes referred to as a softphone. I don't know which SIP software is most accessible in the Microsoft Windows environment. You then register with a SIP service provider, enter their details into the softphone, and start making and receiving calls. You can also run your own SIP server, as I do, but discussing that lies outside the scope of this mailing list. I'm also from Australia, but currently work overseas. [JAWS-Users] jaws friendly voip software?
Hi all, I'm looking for software to use with a voip service where you can enter details for whichever provider you wish. Being in Australia I don't have access to Google voice but do have services over here that I could use. -- Adam Morris email: a...@damorris.com For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
