Hi David, The best one I can think of, is Outlook. However, you'll have to purchase the Microsoft office swuite in order to get it, because Outlook doesn't come as a stand alone product. Re: [JAWS-Users] VLC Player, how to invoke shortcuts
Hi Adrian, Have you tried rebooting? Also, have you updated VLC lately? I wouldn't think updating would be it, but the latest version is, vlc-2.2.8. Is the file you're playing maximized? Take care. Re: [JAWS-Users] VLC Player, how to invoke shortcuts
Hi back, Using JAWS 2018, Windows 10 and the most recent version of VLC, I experienced the same with specifically the spacebar shortcut, the most important one. Then tried the same with NVDA and it worked fine. Not definitive, but good chance it is JAWS. Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 2018 losing virtual cursor position in virtual viewer after returning from other applications
I, myself, have had the same situation; however, it is when I am on a webpage or web browser. -Original Message- From: Dennis Long Sent: Monday, January 15, 2018 10:08 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 2018 losing virtual cursor position in virtual viewer after returning from other applications Have you contacted Freedom directly? -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Adrian Spratt Sent: Monday, January 15, 2018 10:32 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 2018 losing virtual cursor position in virtual viewer after returning from other applications Yes, I've reported this problem here before. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Jason White Sent: Monday, January 15, 2018 8:37 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 2018 losing virtual cursor position in virtual viewer after returning from other applications I've noticed that if I load a document into the virtual viewer (e.g., from Adobe Reader or OCR results), then switch to another application (e.g., Microsoft Word), write some text, and finally switch with Alt+Tab back to the virtual viewer, the virtual cursor is placed at the start of the document rather than at the point where it was before. Editing/reading text in another application seems to result in loss of the virtual cursor position in the virtual viewer. This is more than mildly inconvenient when trying to take notes from a document, for example. Have others seen this, and is there a known solution? I'm running JAWS 2018 1712.10 under Windows 10 1709 with the latest Microsoft updates applied. Re: [JAWS-Users] [jaws] downloading OE
It says in my message about downloading outlook express. Yes it still works perfectly fine, I am more concerned with any possible security issues that might creep in to it given it is so old and not being updated. Obviously the majority of people who use it are exercising good practices IE not opening messages from strangers ETC. I am thinking more of folks who are less careful in reading their emails. -Original Message- From: sandy Sent: Sunday, January 14, 2018 9:09 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] [jaws] downloading OE this is sandy david, you don't suggest people do what? -Original Message- From: David Ferrin Sent: Sunday, January 14, 2018 8:03 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] [jaws] downloading OE I personally do not suggest people do that, but I accept the fact that they want the program.
