[JAWS-Users] JAWS and the best accessible webmail software
Hi everyone The provider of my e-mail-address using Roundcube Webmail as there default. This webmail has a very inaccessible interface for screen reader users - for example I not can select between the folders inbox, Sent etc. with JAWS. I has tried to change between the themes, but nothing is changed regarding the accessibility. Roundcube Webmail will not told me if they have a special theme for screen reader users, but refer to the provider of my e-mail-address service (web hotel). Here they not can help me. Has you on this list experience with Roundcube Webmail and an accessible theme, or alternatively with other webmail software's I can install on the web hotel (PHP or ASP) where the accessibility for screen reader users working? [JAWS-Users] JAWS and support of Flash in Mozilla Firefox not working
Hi everyone When I try to load a website in the latest version of Mozilla Firefox there has Flash elements, the Flash Plugin crash, and JAWS not can see the buttons from the Flash. If I load the same website in Internet Explorer, all working finee. When I search after Flash on the Freedom Scientific Support site, I can see that Freedom Scientific has confirmee the problem. They recomend that I disable Flash in Firefox. Have you a idea about what program there make the problem - JAWS or Mozilla Firefox, and if the problem is related to Firefox, a contact form etc., where I can write to about the problem? I using JAWS 18 and the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. Thanks in advance for the answer. Hi Can I run JAWS from a virtual server, if I have the remove access feature activated? We talking about a virtual server with Windows Server 2012 installed (CloudComputing)? [JAWS-Users] The Windows 10 notification icone in action center disappear when I install iTunes - has sighted users also this problem
Hi everyone After I has upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, I have taken a look on the new features in the operating system. One of the new features is the action center, where different apps send notifications to the user. After I has upgraded to Windows 10, one of the apps I could find in the action Center is called "notification". This app come with notification when I for example unplug a USB-device via the "Secure remove of hardware". Now I has installed the latest version of iTunes, and after that I not longer can find the notofication app in the Action Center, and the sound not playing when I unplug a USB-device. If I create a new user profile on my computer, the Notification app is back in the Action Center until I reinstall iTunes again. In conjunction with JAWS, I therefore will ask about the following: 1. Has other person on this list the same problem regarding the notification app and iTunes? 2. Is there at the time I writing some challenge regarding the Action Center and accessibility with JAWS, that can do that I with JAWS not can see some apps? Thanks in advance for the answer. Hi everyone Every time I read information on Wikipedia with JAWS, JAWS told me when they come to a link. This is frustrating, specially when I read the information via the hotkey Insert+down arrow. Can I configure JAWS so they not announce the links on Wikipedia, especially when I read via Insert+down arrow? I use JAWS 14 and 15, and Internet Explorer 10 as my browser.
