Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws not reading messages automatically
Try a jaws repair. If that doesn't work, just reinstall the program. - Original Message - From: "joe king" To: Sent: Sunday, March 15, 2009 10:16 AM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Jaws not reading messages automatically I am using Outlook Express as my mail server. When I access my mail after a reboot or turning the computer on and go to my mail and open a message Jaws will not read automatically. To have Jaws read the message I must use the insert and v to access the verbosity settings and choose the read messages automatically on. I then close and I get the message settings have been saved. This choice will only last until I reboot or turn the computer off and find Jaws has reverted to the off selection rather than maintaining the choice I made. My question is there someplace else that I must make a choice to make it permanent? I am using the latest update of Jaws. Alternately, you can try to repair your Jaws in case it is the program. You can do that by hitting the installation, and you'll get to the selection where it'll ask you, if you want to modify, repair, or I think reinstall. Just hit the repair. I still think it is a virus. - Original Message - From: "Chrissy" To: Sent: Sunday, March 08, 2009 7:56 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] outlook express problems, replying or writing a mail Still trying to work on my mail problem so wanted to pass on a bit more info about what it does now. whenever i am writing a mail or replying to one and use any reading keystroke combinations it seems like it is just jumping betweeen words because all i hear is jaws saying 'space' instead of what should be the text or word read out load. maybe that will help someone to figure out what is going wrong. appreciate any help I can get regards chrissy Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to jaws-users-list-le...@jaws-users.com For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: jaws-users-list-requ...@jaws-users.com Use the following address in order to contact the management team jaws-users-list-ow...@jaws-users.com If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: blind-computing-j...@jaws-users.com Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to jaws-users-list-le...@jaws-users.com For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: jaws-users-list-requ...@jaws-users.com Use the following address in order to contact the management team jaws-users-list-ow...@jaws-users.com If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: blind-computing-j...@jaws-users.com Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to jaws-users-list-le...@jaws-users.com For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: jaws-users-list-requ...@jaws-users.com Use the following address in order to contact the management team jaws-users-list-ow...@jaws-users.com If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: blind-computing-j...@jaws-users.com Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to jaws-users-list-le...@jaws-users.com For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: jaws-users-list-requ...@jaws-users.com Use the following address in order to contact the management team jaws-users-list-ow...@jaws-users.com If you wish to join the Bl

I also did it. When I reopened file, it just asked me if I wanted to enter what was in the file into the register. Did I do it correct? It didn't say anything about balloons. Re: [JAWS-Users] Firefox 3.5 B4/Webvisum
What it was for some reason after installing it and re-installing it, also using the System Restore. I had 3.0 working well before I tried 3.5 B4. What I ended up doing was totally deleteing out everything and re-installing even then it seemed funny. Webvisum still didn't want to work. For some reason or another when I would re-install Webvisum my registration would show up in the registration under Webvisum options in the Tools/add ons. But what I had to do was disable it in the Tools menu. Hit the restart button. Then I enabled it all over again in the same menu.. And it worked fine. If you have any further questions feel free too ask me. I am using Jaws 10.0/ Vista 64 Bit. rogelio_terra...@wowway.com - Original Message - From: "Marco Zehe" To: Sent: Monday, June 08, 2009 2:26 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Firefox 3.5 B4/Webvisum Hi Rogelio, care to share what the problem was and how you solved it? Re: [JAWS-Users] Java Access Bridge
I did that by going on their web page. I first tried it by using a .exe file. Then I tried it by using a .zip file which is the way is says in the Jaws help menu. Going to the Jaws help menu it say to uncompress the file and then look for a file that says Install.exe which isn't in the folder. With the .exe file I got off the web page, it starts the installation then it says it has been interrupted and it did not complete the installation. Do you have any suggestions? [JAWS-Users] Internet Explorer
I wanted to ask. I noticed that I had two different Internet Explorer in my All Programs. One said 64 Bit and the other didn't. I opened both of them and I noticed that the one I was using had some add-ons I installed and the other didn't. I am using Vista 64 Bit with Jaws 10.0. I deleted the one that didn't say 64. The thing is I deleted it with the application key. Internet does not show up in the control panel. How can I make sure I deleted it correctly? I am figuring that it was probably 32 Bit. Re: [JAWS-Users] outlook express problems, replying or writing a mail
Going to what I told you before, I forgot I did delete the file that carried the virus before I ran the restore. Alternately, you can try to repair your Jaws in case it is the program. You can do that by hitting the installation, and you'll get to the selection where it'll ask you, if you want to modify, repair, or I think reinstall. Just hit the repair. I still think it is a virus. - Original Message - From: "Chrissy" To: Sent: Sunday, March 08, 2009 7:56 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] outlook express problems, replying or writing a mail Still trying to work on my mail problem so wanted to pass on a bit more info about what it does now. whenever i am writing a mail or replying to one and use any reading keystroke combinations it seems like it is just jumping betweeen words because all i hear is jaws saying 'space' instead of what should be the text or word read out load. maybe that will help someone to figure out what is going wrong. appreciate any help I can get regards chrissy Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to jaws-users-list-le...@jaws-users.com For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: jaws-users-list-requ...@jaws-users.com Use the following address in order to contact the management team jaws-users-list-ow...@jaws-users.com If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: blind-computing-j...@jaws-users.com Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to jaws-users-list-le...@jaws-users.com For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: jaws-users-list-requ...@jaws-users.com Use the following address in order to contact the management team jaws-users-list-ow...@jaws-users.com If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: blind-computing-j...@jaws-users.com

Re: [JAWS-Users] outlook express problems, replying or writing a mail
Maybe you can try to totally reinstall Jaws. It only takes a few minutes. I have dealt with similar problems in the past. I truly think that will work. You might have one of those very secretive virus's. Believe me I know all about those. I have been a Jaws user for 14 years and I am a college graduate. When I lived in the dorm, a lot of those students used to like to make those. - Original Message - From: "Chrissy" To: Sent: Sunday, March 08, 2009 11:44 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] outlook express problems, replying or writing a mail yes I did but still has not changed. Re: [JAWS-Users] Weird Outlook Express problem
It probably does have something to do with that Scripts Exchange that you downloaded. You can try messing with the verbosity, or try a Jaws repair. - Original Message - From: "Negoslav Sabev" To: Sent: Monday, March 09, 2009 11:09 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Weird Outlook Express problem It's the same with sentences for me - alt+arrows does not work. It just jumps me to either the top or bottom of the message. Curiously, this is only happening in Outlook Express. I looked in the keyboard manager, and it indicates that control-up-arrow and control-down-arrow are supposed to say the previous and next paragraphs, but they don't. I did not notice this problem until a few days ago when I installed JAWS Script Exchange. I'm wondering if that would have modified my Outlook Express script files? It is the only thing I can think of. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this problem, please let me know. BTW: I am using JAWS 9.0, Windows XP, and Outlook Express 2003.
