[JAWS-Users] Problem in opening the drives from "My Computer"-please help me
Dear list members, I'm Vijay. I'm a new member to this list. I'm writing first time to this list. Coming to my problem recently my P.C. was infected and I have removed the virus from my system with "Kaspersky" anti virus software. My problem is that after this process when I tried to open the drives from "My Computer" a strange message appearing. For example when I try to open "D drive" from "My Computer" following message appearing "Open With Choose the program you want to use to open this file: File: D:\ Programs Adobe Reader 8.1 Internet Explorer iTunes Kurzweil 1000 Microsoft Office Access Microsoft Office Excel Microsoft Office InfoPath Microsoft Office Picture Manager Microsoft Office Publisher Microsoft Office Word Nero Photosnap Image Viewer Always use the selected program to open this kind of file Browse... OK Cancel". I'm able to open the drives from "run" dialog box. Even I have formatted the "C drive" to solve this problem but in vain. So friends would you please tell me the solution for my problem? Waiting anxiously for your reply. Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS & Fire Fox
Hello to all: For your information the "Webvisum" add-on is working very well. I have created "Yahoo", "Rediff" and "Zapak" email I.D.s on my own with this add-on. On all occasions I have entered the verification code successfully on my own with the option "solve captcha" in "Webvisum" add-on. Re: [JAWS-Users] CCleaner & Google
I had to uninstall Google tool bar manually, after the installation of C Cleaner is completed. With warm regards VIJAY - Original Message - From: "Lennie" To: Sent: Saturday, November 06, 2010 3:26 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] CCleaner & Google Hi Mike, Yes I did install the latest version of CCleaner and the Google toolbar was checked to be installed automatically when you finish installing CCleaner. When you get to the page to press the finish button, I turned on Jaws cursor and did a pageup and arrow down and I heard the Google message to install the toolbar. Unfortunately, placing the Jaws cursor on the check mark to uncheck it did not work when I press the left mouse button. I carefully placed the Jaws cursor on the check mark and press the real mouse left click button and it brought the screen into focus and the check mark was unchecked. I was then able to press enter on the finish button and CCleaner was installed without the unwanted toolbar which is to me a nuisance to us blind folks. The people who handle the download of CCleaner are very sneaky!! I don't know if there is a better way to get around this problem. BTW, it was dumb luck that I discovered the Google toolbar during installation of the CCleaner. What caught my attention is that the download procedure changed and I got suspicious and I was checking everything out with the Jaws cursor. So, there you have it. Take care. Is this one for Dr. Phil? Lennie At 04:21 PM 11/5/2010, you wrote: Hi All; I am running a program by FileHippo called update checker. Are others on the list familiar with this program? When I get my update results and I update CCleaner, I am getting the Google toolbar Or Google Chrome installed without any warnings. Has anyone else running this program noticed this happening? Like I say, there are no boxes to check or uncheck or anything. The Google stuff just gets installed. Well, I was just wondering if anybody else has noticed this and if anyone had any ideas on how to stop the Google stuff from being installed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Take care.
