If the reading button is selected then the navigation pane is minimized. The effect is that the folder list is not shown and you have a list of messages in your current folder. If your folder list is not showing then try using function key 6 until you find the pane with those two buttons. You will find a search pane, the ribbons and message list when you use F6 but keep pressing it until you hear either normal button or reading button. Use tab key to move around the pane. If the reading button is selected then click or press spacebar on the normal button. Your folder list should return. Your sort order can be controlled by using the view settings button under the view tab of the ribbon. When you open the view settings dialog, you can tab to the button for sorting and press spacebar on it. You can select your primary and secondary sort by in that dialog as well as the sort order for the sort by selection. Take care. If not, when you copy the body of the word document, i.e. with the document opened, select the entire document with control-a then copy it to your clipboard with control-c, you could then create a new email message and paste the text contents in with control-v. When you do it that way, you are just sending the body of the document either as .html or as .txt, depending on how you have your email client configured to send outgoing messages. John It worked. I am using outlook and I followed your instructions Thank you. I so appreciate this list and those of you who help us beginners. May God Bless and Keep You Father Doug -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of John Justice Sent: Sunday, November 11, 2007 4:05 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] email's automatically delivered to a specific folder Father Dunlap. Yes it is possible to do that using Message Rules but the process isn't an easy one. I believe that I have a set of instructions which were provided by our moderator David Ferin to me some years ago. If I can locate them, they will be below. Father, since you want to set up a folder in which these particular messages are moved automatically, you will need to indicate which words to look for such as JAWS-USERS then specify a folder in which you want those messages kept. This is important Father. You must create an appropriate folder first before you take any other action. If you are not sure how to do that, I believe that the directions are on our home page in the Tips and Tricks section. Perhaps this set of instructions for creating a message rule is there as well. Please read below and execute the tsteps carefully. OUTLOOK EXPRESS, SETTING UP A MAIL RULE, QUICK AND EASY: 1.. Make sure that a folder exists if you are going to send the messages to a specific location. 2.. Go to Tools by pressing Alt T: 3.. Press R for Mail Rules: 4.. If Mail rules already exist, you can modify, remove and add a new rule. To add a new rule, press Tab to the New button and press Enter. 5.. Each step must be selected in order. After choosing New, tab to the first step of the procedure. Line up on the condition required, (When the Message contains Specific Words) and press Space bar to select that condition. Tab to the list of conditions which apply to the rule and select the appropriate rule by pressing the space bar while it is highlighted. 6.. Tab to the conditions list where you choose what is to be done with the message. For example, Move the message to the highlighted folder and press space bar to accept that condition. 7.. Tab once and the message reads to edit a value click on the information below.) Tab down until the condition is spoken and press the Space Bar to highlight it. If the choice was when the message line contains specific words) you will be taken to an Edit field where you can type those words. Then choose the action by pressing the down arrow until that action is spoken. (move the message to the specified folder) Press Space bar and a list of folders will appear. Choose the folder by highlighting it. Press Space bar on the appropriate folder. 8.. Tab to Section 4, a description box and enter a description of the rule: 9.. You have the option of applying the rule immediately but don't exit until the new rule has been saved. Move to Okay and press Enter to confirm. 10.. To confirm that the rule has been saved, exit the application, then return to it. The new rule should be listed with the others already created. Good luck Father. If you have any questions, you know where to ask. Re: [JAWS-Users] One question.
Hi Chris, Does that work with XP Home Edition with JAWS 8 Thanks Fr Doug -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Chris Hallsworth Sent: Tuesday, October 23, 2007 9:53 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] One question. 1. Open Configuration Manager with insert 6. 2. Press alt s, followed by h. The HTML options dialogue box appears. 3. Shift control tab once to move to the misc page, and look for a check box that talks about element attributes. Uncheck that box with space, and press enter. 4. Press either control s or alt F4 and answer yes at the prompt to save your changes. Hope that helps. I'm using the Jabra brand, but I expect others would work as well. The Bluetooth audio adapter plugs into the audio out port and then pairs with the headset. Thanks a lot Fr Doug -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of carlene knight Sent: Tuesday, October 16, 2007 11:18 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] wireless earphone/headset It's logitech. Push on the top of the right side of the headset itself to turn the volume up, and the bottom to turn it down. Anything with its own amplifier can cause distortion, so I would recommend playing around with that volume and the computer volume to get it right if you continue to have these problems. Hope that helps. FRDoug Dunlap wrote: Carlene, Thank you for your information. Can I ask you what brand you use.
