[JAWS-Users] Question Regarding Jaws 17 Settings

2016-04-03 Thread John Snowling
Hi.

TomorrowI am due to get my new Windows 7 Pc and I intend to put my
Jaws 17 on it.

Can I copy over all the Jcf files from this current pc to my new one
so I have all my jaws settings ready to go with?

Would I need to copy the entire contents of the Enu folder and copy it
into my Jaws 17 when I get it installed?

Thanks.

[JAWS-Users] Stopping Jaws from saying Visited Links

2016-03-30 Thread John Snowling
Hi Everyone.

I play a fantasy baseball game which is web based and each of my
players is a link.

For some reason Jaws always calls them visited links which they aren't.

Is there a way to stop jaws from saying visited Link because its
getting a bit anoying.

If there isn't i'll put up with it but just a little quirk of jaws I suppose.

Cheers.

[JAWS-Users] Taking my Jaws Settings to my New Computer

2016-03-30 Thread John Snowling
Hi Everyone.

I'm due to get my new Pc on Monday and I want to take my Jaws 17 settings to it.

Especially stuff like flexible web rules and things i've altered. I've
got Jaws almost working perfectly for me so this computer when it
comes back will probably be my backup.

Is there a way I can copy all my jaws config files to a removable drive.

Would that be under User and Roaming and Jaws etc?

Cheers.

[JAWS-Users] Using Windows Live Mail

2016-03-10 Thread John Snowling
Hi.

I used to use Outlook Express until it stopped working for me.

I have been using web mail a lot because I wasn't sure about using
windows live mail with Jaws and Windows 7.

Are there any tutorials on using Windows mail and Jaws?

I am about to check the Freedom Scientific site.

Cheers.

Is there any aim client that works well with Jaws 17?

Hi Al. I've tried switch but prefer goldwave as you can get scripts for
goldwave but it still works without scripts ok.

For now, try doing it from MS Outlook instead. This works a lot better from
me, and I always manage to send the attachment.

Hi list, having some trouble in doing attachments in MS word 2003. I have
done some test ones, as haven't done them for a while. I have tried two
methods, but no luck. For example, while in a new message, I select insert
and then email attachment. I can find the "look in" box. I have that set to
look in my documents. I get the file name dialogue box. I also get the list
of my files. However, if I enter on the file I want nothing happens.
Similarly, if I tab to the attach button and hit it nothing happens. My
second method, was to open the word file, go to the file menu, down to send
to and choose attachment or mail recipient whatever it says. I then enter
the email address, the subject and a message. I then do alt S to send it.
However, i only end up with the email, but no attachment.
What am I doing wrong? I am using XP, Jaws 8.0 and outlook express
thanks Jason

Hi, John. I don't know about tutorials but one of my relatives set up
microsoft word so I could use it to scan documents. I don't know how or
what steps he did to set everything up but I could ask him if you'd like. I
was using openbook on my old computer but for some weird reason it won't
work with this one.
