Thanks Kim for letting me know this. I wonder if the problem is on their
end. Did it work fine for you earlier this year up until June or July?

I am using IE 6 and still had the same problem and I just let my
subscription go. I cancled it. I have a sirus radio so I told them to take
my online subscribtion off of my account.

They didn't know what was wrong.
Good luck Hope someone has an answer to this question.

Hi all.

I have a Sirius subscription and, up to now, have been able to use the
"listen and type the numbers you hear" link with no problem. After
upgrading to I.E. 8, nothing happens when I try to use this link meaning
that I'm not able to listen online.

Does anyone have any ideas what's blocking the link and how I can resolve
the issue?

Thanks in advane for your help.

Hi Gerald.

Unfortunately I did the system restore while i.e. 8 was on my computer. Now
just i.e. 7 is on my computer and restarting my computer isn't getting it to
work. Is there anything else I can try?

Did you try to remove IE 8 using the Add or Remove Programs option on the
Control Panel? If not, and you simply performed a System Restore, this may
explain the problems you are experiencing with IE. Check Add/Remove
Programs to see which version of IE is actually installed on your
computer. If it's still IE 8, remove it to roll back to IE 7. Removing IE
8 using Add/Remove Programs does not completely remove IE but merely
reverts to the version you upgraded from. So don't worry that you will
lose IE altogether if you remove IE 8 this way. Once you have successfully
removed IE 8, you may need to reboot your computer to get IE 7 working
again.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Real Player

2008-01-09 Thread kenh1114
Hi Andy and Mark.
I've read most of this exchange and agree one hundred per cent with both of
you. Real player is a fine player and one of the very few which has an
accessable equallizer. In fact, I purchased Real player plus and the sound
is phenomenal. As Andy said, you can customize it through preference
settings and controls so it won't take over your audio. Radio stations from
all over the world have web streams which you can use Real player with for
listening. I find real player works well with Jaws and it is very easy to
use.

Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS will not start up

2007-07-18 Thread kenh1114
Hi Sherry.
If you can get sighted assistance, the quickest way to try to get Jaws up
and running again would be to go into the Jaws menu under options under
basics under "run Jaws". Also, starting with Jaws 7 or 8, Jaws can be
started by going into "run Programs" and typing "Jaws" plus the version
number.
If you can't get sighted assistance, the only way I'm certain of is to use
your Jaws program cd. After starting your computer, put the Jaws cd into
the drive and speech should start: then use the "repair" option to reload
Jaws. And when you do get Jaws running again, make sure the "start Jaws
automatically" under Jaws options is checked.
Good luck.

2007-06-06 Thread kenh1114
Good morning.
All of you, and the others who moderate this list, do a terrific job and
yes, ample notice was given of the list change over to google. And the tips
and tricks page is a great key towards independence and an inspiration for
us to reach out to others on the list. Thanks to you all.
Warmest regards,
Ken Hanshe
