Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws and yahoo sign-up
That has never happened to me, but what is web vism? - Original Message - From: "Kate Thegreat" To: Sent: Friday, July 10, 2009 11:52 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Jaws and yahoo sign-up Hi all, I see that a question was asked back on the 26th of May by another list member and it relates to my problem, but nobody responded. If I may, I will ask again. Maybe someone has an answer? When I try to sign up for yahoo, using firefox, it is refusing to allow me to pick options from drop down menus. Also, if I put one piece of info in an edit box on the page, all the rest of the edit boxes appear to have that piece of info in it. If I try to edit them, all of the edit boxes change to whatever new piece of information I enter into the given edit box. It's not showing the edit box for my name, my birth date and year, nor my user ID. I would just do this all in internet explorer if I could, but I need web visom so that I can fill in the capcha box. Note: this is the sign up page, as in I am trying to create a new account, not filling in the info to log onto an already existing account. I am using jaws 8.0.2173U. When writing an email a few seconds ago, I decided to read it. I did this because I had been performing some tests regarding jaws and different email systems. On both systems Jaws spoke as if I had no periods. Here's an example: Hi my name is Zach and I am blind I like chickens I also like biking in open farmland when I am not in open farmland then I like being on the computer or the braillenote There should be periods after: blind; chickens; farmland; braillenote I left out the periods on purpose in the sample. Okay, I will try it. - Original Message - From: "Gerald Levy" To: Sent: Sunday, June 28, 2009 10:23 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] run on sentences I notice that you leave only one space between sentences. You should always skip two spaces between sentences to insure that JAWS properly recognizes the end of a sentence after a period, exclamation point or question mark. . That way, your sentences won't sound like they're running together.
