Re: [JAWS-Users] Firefox, which version

2013-11-21 Thread Sharon Gosling

I have what I assume is the latest version of Firefox and find that it
frequently freezes and Jaws 14 only reads the title of the page. I can't
get to the menus or to any portion of the page. About the latest version of
Firefox that this did not happen with is 15 or 16. But supposedly older
versions of browsers are not secure. So, I, too, would like some
information about using the current version of Firefox. When it works most
of the same key shortcuts as IE work except that I can't get to a back
button and the alt left arrow does not seem to do anything.
When it freezes the program will not close and I have to restart the
computer to get rid of the page.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Firefox, which version

Hi listers,
I’m running JAWS 12 on a Windows 7 machine and have what I believe to be the
latest version of Firefox although I don’t know where to confirm its number.
I have been trying to use Webvisum but have never gotten it to work. I’ve
found a tutorial and believe that the problem lies in the fact that under
Tools, options, Content there should be a heading to allow for loading
images which I’m not seeing. Any ideas where else to look for such a thing
and/or which is the most recent version of Firefox that I should try and
where to get it? Would appreciate any help as soon as possible. Many thanks.

Susan
