[JAWS-Users] GMail & Outlook Express

2010-10-26 Thread Steve & Shannon Cook
Hi All,

I have a friend using Outlook Express and wishes to set up a Gmail account
to import her mail in to OE. I have setup Gmail accounts on Outlook, but
never OE. Are there any different settings in OE that I need to be aware of
to setup the Gmail account? Using JFW 11 and Windows XP. Thanks in advance
for your help!

Not really. If you have set it up in Outlook using Pop3 the settings in
Outlook Express will be similar.

Alt t for tools, A for accounts, New account. Then, you will need to go
into server properties and check the box for SSL, and go to advanced and set
the server ports.

OH, not hard with express:go to tools, accounts and go to add account.
It should be on mail and push inter. From there it is self explanatory and
as long as you have the pop settings for google, your good to go!
