[JAWS-Users] Instant bird with jaws

2011-04-22 Thread Randy Tijerina

Friends, I'd like to get your opinion on something.
if I understand correctly, the newest version of windows live
messenger is not accessible, correct?

someone told me about a program called, InstantBird.
How different or similar is it to wlm?
And, are there jaws scripts to make it more functional?
Many thanks. Randy.

Windows Live Messenger 2011 have been inaccessible up until now but I've heard
that it now is accessible with the latest build of JAWS 12 which is currently a
release candidate.
Which means it is soon to be released.
I've not tried it yet myself though but I will as soon as possible.
I'm still using Windows Live Messenger 2009 which works ok.
I've tried InstantBird but dumped it quickly.
It worked ok but it's not even possible to change your display name...
But that may be fixed now.

Hi, I've tried using Windows Live Messenger with the latest build of JAWS 12
but, it still keeps on tagging the first word to the end of the sentence,
does anyone know if there is a fix for that soon?

I like instant bird but it doesn't speak who signs in or out, or the
messages. If that is fixed soon that would be great. Otherwise the client
works well for me.

There was an update to messinger 2011 a week or so a go and that seem to
fix that exact same problem for me.

Having said that I cant be sure that it was that that fixed it, but the
problem has gone away.
