Well, I had a thought. I've heard once that Vista learns what programmes you
use the most, and puts it as high priority, or something like that. Anyway,
I'm now starting to notice JAWS 9 loading as soon as the Vista startup sound
is played, as well as shortly after I log in with my password-enabled
account. Hmm, interesting!

Not using Vista but XP Pro and now that you mention it I am noticing a
longer time for JAWS to load. It seemed longer from the last Beta version
to the final release. I'm going to wait to get my CD, uninstall 9 and all
updates and start fresh to see what happens.

Has anyone noticed inconsistencies in how long it takes for JAWS to start
at
either the log on screen and/or the Windows desktop? I've noticed that
sometimes it loads very quickly at log on yet it takes half a minute to a
minute for it to reload at the main desktop, and at other times it could

the complete opposite. I'm using the final release of JAWS 9 and Vista
