[JAWS-Users] Java Updates
Hello I have been receiving notices that a new version of Java is available. I am always a bit concerned with accepting these updates in case they will have an effect on JAWS performance. Does anyone know if updating Java can cause problems for JAWS or are they safe to download. Thanks, in advance, for any light on the subject. They are safe to download. I think this may depend on the PC. At work Java updates automatically, and I have no problems. But when I tried to update it at home so I could do some work at home, my system became very unstable, and I had to downgrade to the older version. The only thing we could think of is that my PC at work has 1 GB RAM, and my system at home is antiquated, with only 512 MB RAM. Also, my work system is running XP Pro, and my home system is running XP Home.
