[JAWS-Users] JAWS9 stopped prompting when deleting files

2009-11-23 Thread Tan Siew Ling
Hi,

Whenever I wish to delete any file, JAWS9 will prompt me, saying,
Are you sure you would like to delete the file and move it to the
RecycleBin, Yes/No.
However, I noticed that JAWS9 became lazy today, not prompting me
whenever I delete a file/shortcut/folder.
Can anyone tell me what should I do to make JAWS9 prompt me again.
Without this prompt, I have unknowingly sent many items to the
RecycleBin, mistaking the Delete key for Insert key.
My Operating System is XP Home.
  Thank you.

Regards,
Siew Ling

Check out the properties of your recycle bin to ensure you
have not inadvertently checked the box that eliminates the
prompt asking you to confirm the deletion you are attempting
to make.

[JAWS-Users] JAWS9 AND POWERBRAILLE 40

2008-03-18 Thread Russell J. Thomas, Jr.
On a PowerBraille 40, there are navigation keys above the cells which permit
you to move the focus to a particular cell by hitting one of the navigation
keys. However, in JAWS9, when you hit one of these navigation keys while in
a word document, JAWS takes you either to the top or bottom of your
document. Is there a fix for this bug?

You can get the scripts for thunder bird from the following link.
I don't use thunder bird , so I can't comment on how the scripts work .

thanks, I'll give it a try. I didn't read the complete thread before
replying because the messages were coming in as I was doing so. Maybe
now I can make corrections the the subject and to fields now. It's hard
to do that when JAWS won't speak.
Thanks so much.

 Hi,
It appears from the Internet headers of your message that you are using
Thunder 2.0.9 as your email client. Is that correct?
If it is correct, have you installed the Thunderbird scripts for JAWS?

 Hi,
I wanted to ask people. I have jaws9 installed. It wont read messages
that I have composed but jaws8 will.
Is there a fix to this for Jaws9? I don't want to have to switch all
the time back to jaws8. 9 is so much easier to use with vista.

JAWS 9 will work under Windows XP/Vista, and possibly 2000 as well. Hope
that helps.
