[JAWS-Users] MS word version

2008-10-29 Thread Barbara Bransky
Hi all, I used the insert, control, V to get the version of MS Word, while it
was open, and it said, MS Word 10.0.2627. What would that mean as it didn't say
MS Word 2000 or 2003 etc. Thank you for any help. Barbara

2008-10-29 Thread Ryan MacIsaac
Hi,

Version 10.0 of Microsoft Word is Word XP or Word 2002. Word 2003 is version
11 and Word 2007 is version 12.

I hope this helps,
Ryan

That's because version numbers for MS Word are different thatn version
numbers for MS Office. I belie ve that Word 10 is the version that
comes with Office 2002.

No, that's not any difference. It's just shorthand or a user's preference -
a number, or a name. Word XP is included in office version 10, and office
XP includes Word 10.
