This doesn't work for me.

I only have to press the space bar to get the options for different phone
number types. When I go to Address Jaws states press space bar. I have
tried that, tried Control spacebar, tried enter tried alt down arrow,
nothing will activate the address type chooser.

Frustrated!

Hello Dixie,

You can use CTRL+spacebar on the address type button to get a menu of
choices. If you select home by pressing enter on the home choice, you can
tab and fill in the home address in the edit box. Press CTRL+spacebar on
the address type button again to make a different choice and use the edit
box to fill in a work or other type of address. You can do the same on the
buttons for phone type to get choices like car phone, company phone, call
back, pager, TTY and other choices not shown by default in the regular
dialog.

Take care.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Outlook 2010 and Contact Address

2011-07-26 Thread Brian Lee
Hello Dixie,

Have you tried routing JAWS cursor to the PC cursor and doing a mouse click?
If using a desktop configuration use the insert key on the number pad with
the minus key on the number pad to route the JAWS cursor to the position of
the PC cursor. (The minus key is the top right key of the number pad).
After routing JAWS to PC, the JAWS cursor will be active. If you read a
current character, you might hear that JAWS is on a blank spot. Do a left
mouse button click by pressing the number pad slash key, the second from the
left on the top row of the number pad. Press the big plus key to restore
the PC cursor. The plus key is right under the minus key. If using a
laptop configuration then use the caps lock with the left bracket key to
route JAWS cursor to the PC cursor. The left bracket is to the right of the
P. Use caps lock with the number 8 key to do the left mouse click. Use
caps lock with the semicolon to return to the PC cursor.

If the above doesn't work, you might try routing the JAWS cursor to the PC
cursor, and then using Alt+shift+left arrow and then trying the mouse click.
You can then try using Alt+shift+right arrow key and doing the left mouse
button click. If you get no result after using Alt+shift+left arrow or
right arrow key and doing the mouse click, keep using the commands to force
the mouse left or right and using the mouse click after each time the
movement command has been used. If you get it working by doing those steps,
you can write a small script to do the actions and apply a keystroke to it.

I hope you get it working.

Take care.
