[JAWS-Users] Super Anti Spy Ware

2011-02-21 Thread Victoria Vaughan
Hi Folks, I'm using Jaws 11 on an XP3 machine.
My "Super Anti Spy Ware", is supposed to run quietly in the background and not
interrupt or prevent Jaws from speaking.
However, frequently it does just that!

Is there some parameter I can change to fix that?

Or, what ante virus anti spyware do you use that does not cause such problems?
In addition, is there a setting in your program, that must be set a certen way,
so as not to interfere?

Many thanks for any suggestions! Vicky

Re: [JAWS-Users] Super anti spy ware

2008-03-25 Thread Chris Hallsworth
Hi, I'm using the pro version of Super Antispyware, and I have no
problems using it with JAWS. Yes, the preferences multipage dialogue box
requires use of the JAWS cursor, but I just leave the settings as at its
defaults, and it works fine under JAWS 9. The free edition, basically,
is exactly the same programme, with some features missing, such as
real-time protection, automatic updates, and so on. So whoever said that
they're having problems navigating with the pro version will most likely
have problems with the free version. Anyway I hope that helps.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Super anti spy ware

2008-03-24 Thread Brian Lee
After you use the "Scan your computer" button, the subsequent dialog box has
a tree view for choosing which drives should be scanned. use the tab key to
move to the tree view. Use the up and down arrow keys to make sure only the
hard drives are checked. If the floppy drive or CD-ROM drive choices are
checked and there are no disks in those drives then you might get an error
message letting you know that no disks are in the drives. This might not be
the problem but check it out to make sure.

2008-03-24 Thread Mike & Barbara Brunner
Hi All,

Are you talking about the free or pro version? Also, if you are discussing
the free version do any of you have any problems navigating the options with
Jaws? Thanks much.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Super anti spy ware

2008-03-24 Thread Chris Hallsworth
Hi, I've not seen this, however perhaps it's trying to access the
drive(s) that are removable, such as CD-ROM drives, and that because you
don't have a disk in it can't access it. By default Super Antispyware
scans all fixed hard disks, however this can be customized by the user
before the scan takes place. Hope that helps.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Super anti spy ware

2008-03-24 Thread Lali
Hi there!

I use superantispyware, the latest version.
I use professional.
It removed me 26 trojans, that nod32 could not remove.
I enabled the real time blocking service.
And I installed avira antivir personal edition classic, that is a german
antivirus programm.
I recommend you, to use it together, because thay saved my pc , of a
reinstall of the system.
If somebody whats it, contact me, and I will send it to you.
God bless!
Lali

Re: [JAWS-Users] Super anti spy ware

2008-03-24 Thread Lennie Rinaldi
Hi Rich,

When running Super Anti-spyware, make sure that the drive that you
want to scan is checked. Apparently, one of your other drive is
checked like the A drive, CDR or CDRW and you don't have a floppy
disk or CD in there. See below:

SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition
SUPERAntiSpyware Scanner
Please select the drive(s) to scan and your scanning options. Click
Next to begin scanning.
Scan Location
A:\ - Removable Quick Scan
C:\ - Fixed Drive (NTFS)
D:\ - Fixed Drive (NTFS)
F:\ - CD-ROM
G:\ - CD-ROM

Hope this helps,

Lennie

Re: [JAWS-Users] Super anti spy ware

2008-03-24 Thread Marilyn Walker
Rich, I hope you get an answer since the same thing happens to me. If you
enter on "next," it asks if you want to continue without completing the scan
or just quit and I don't have a way to continue the scan. However, if I set
the schedule to scan once a week in the night, I guess it finishes. marilyn

[JAWS-Users] Super anti spy ware

2008-03-24 Thread Rich Hamel
When running "super anti spy ware", the program seems to stop about half way
through and says "no disc".
In order to finish the program, I have to click on "continue".
Is there a way to run the entire program without having to monitor it?

I have XP and 9.0.

Thank you.
