Hi Kerry, I have been using Jaws 14 on a Windows 8 laptop for almost a month now. I have not seen any problems like you are describing. However, I have had something similar happen on other computers using Vista and Windows 7. Restarting JAWS or restarting the computer always fixes the problem for me. Hi all, For some reason, when I turned on my laptop this evening, it reports my system tray as being blank. no item selected to be accurate. It's also saying balnk in dialogue boxes. I'm running windows 8 64 bit with jaws 14 latest release. It was working fine up until this morning, but now nada on that menu. Any suggestions? Ah so yours is doing odd things too then. I have strange stuff happening with mine. The slider to turn the wireless radio on or off is gone. Very odd. Same situation with JAWS. The card is off. I can't get it back on. I've seen the odd sys tray thing too but when I wake it from sleep. It was fine until last Wednesday. I upgraded it when Win 8 came out and it was fine from then till last Wednessday like I said. I also have a problem with Sound Forge all of the suden asking me to register it and that was fine before.
