Can you use "find"? Then you could search for a double space.

Re: [JAWS-Users] blank spaces

2008-11-07 Thread Brian Lee

Hello Kathy,

You can have JAWS list grammatical errors by using the keystroke
CTRL-shift-G. Using the laptop configuration it is shift-Caps lock-G. The
keystroke will list the grammatical errors. You need to go to each error by
pressing enter key on the choice in the list in order to correct the error.
After correcting an error you need to use the keystroke again, and continue
listing and correcting the grammatical errors. The problem is that JAWS
does not move the cursor right to the error, but rather to the beginning of
the sentence that contains the error. This process can be quite time
consuming. You can also list spelling errors using Alt-shift-L.

Another way you can move to grammatical errors is to turn on quick access
keys using insert-Z or with laptop configuration Caps lock-Z and then
pressing the letter A to move from grammatical error to grammatical error
and the letter "M" to move from spelling error to spelling error. The
problem is that you need to toggle quick keys off by using the same
keystroke before you can make corrections.

You might not be able to use some of these keystrokes if you have an older
version of JAWS, as the "quick keys" feature is relatively new in the
program.

Take care.

Kathy,

The keystrokes I mentioned in the message I just sent are for using JAWS in
Microsoft Word. After sending the message I noticed that you didn't specify
the word processing program you are using.

Take care.
