[JAWS-Users] can not delete a folder
Hello, I have a folder at the top of a drive titled 2b94e5c95f90ea85e52dc3af However when I try to delete it I get an access denied message. It also says I need administrative rights. The folder properties indicates the folder size is 0 bites and contains 0 files. I did a MSE scan but no viruses were found. What can I do to get rid of this folder? Thanks. I would suggest that you hide it, its nothing to be worried about, it will disappear as soon as you hide it, it seems to be a system file that takes relatively no space on the hard drive, I just did the same thing to a similar file. Unfortunately, when hidden is checked in properties and I hit ok or apply I still get the message that I need administrative rights in order to change atributes. I am using Windows 7 but I don't see where to change this when I use the application key and arrow down through the optionss when the file is highlighted. -Original Message- From: Tim Appleby Sent: Tuesday, April 05, 2011 7:12 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] can not delete a folder I would suggest that you hide it, its nothing to be worried about, it will disappear as soon as you hide it, it seems to be a system file that takes relatively no space on the hard drive, I just did the same thing to a similar file. Oh boy, I didn't think that you had Win 7, I thought that you had Win XP or even Vista - Original Message - From: To: Sent: Monday, April 04, 2011 6:19 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] can not delete a folder Unfortunately, when hidden is checked in properties and I hit ok or apply I still get the message that I need administrative rights in order to change atributes. Re: [JAWS-Users] can not delete a folder
I even went into advance security property settings but there was so much stuff there I didn't know which options to check or uncheck. In there it talks about deny and don't deny for many options. Heck since its not a folder or file that does any harm maybe I will leave well enough alone.
