Hi Mario,

Control + W, closes individual tabs.

Moving through tabs is not a jaws specific function, so you can use the
firefox commands. They are the same as in IE.
Ctrl+tab will move you to the next tab.
Ctrl+shift+tab will move you to the previous tab.
Ctrl+1 through 0 on the number row will move you directly to the
corresponding opened tab.

If you want to turn off tab browsing in Firefox, for those who are
interested. When Firefox is open, do the following:
1. Press alt+t to get to the tools menu, then the letter O to get to
Options.
2. You will land in a list of categories in which you can use the up and
down arrow keys to navigate. Arrow either up or down until you hear the word
Tabs.
3. Tab once, and you will hear the following. Open windows in a new tab
instead. By default, it is checked.
4. Press the spacebar to uncheck it. If it is already unchecked, leave it
alone. Everything else is optional as you tab through the dialogue. Personal
preference and experimentation is ok.
5. Tab till you hear the ok button, and activate it with the spacebar or
enter key.
You shouldn't need to, but maybe close and re-open Firefox again if you feel
you need to do so for peace of mind.

Take care.
Mike

2015-01-03 Thread Dialup @ 56k
CTRL + F4 will also close a tab / the current window in Firefox, and
quite a few other programs as well, like MS Word / Excel etc.
