Once again list: Is there anyway to turn off that announcement that says something about preventing pictures from downloading within outlook 2007? Thanks! Reese, I don't think you could turn that off as such, but if you change your email settings to read all mail in plain text, you wouldn't get that message, but you would also not be able to follow a link directly from within the message. Hi Riana all, I use Outlook 2007. It's set to read and send messages in plain text and I can follow links from within the message. The same was true when I had OE and Outlook 2003.
