go to Tools menu, Options, Advanced, General Tab.
tab to and space bar on the Return Receipts… Button.
tab to the following. after each tab, use the arrow keys to change the
setting if they are not as follows:
When I receive a request for a return receipt:
If I’m not in the To or Cc of the message: Combo box
Ask me
When I receive a request for a return receipt:
If the sender is outside my domain: Combo box
Ask me
When I receive a request for a return receipt:
In all other cases: Combo box
Ask me

Subject: [JAWS-Users] email that requires recipient to send a receipt
every time I get an email that requires me to send a receipt the
dialogue comes up but before I can press the send button it dis appears
does anyone know how I can get it to let me press the send button?
I am using Thunderbird jaws 15 and windows 8.1
