[JAWS-Users] escape button
Hi my escape button will not perform the function. I went to view menu and arrowed to escape stop and it said unavailable. I don't know what the problem is. Can someone help with this. Hi I was always able to push escape button to leave an e mail. Now, I have to push alt f4 everytime. Do I need a new keyboard? It's the only key not functioning. make sure its not working. open the browser and bring up a web page, before it comes in all the way. Hit the escape key and see if it stops. Hi, Here is an easy test for that questionable escape key. You can use JawsKeyboardHelp by pressing the keystroke Jawskey plus numrow1 and then press the escape key to find out its function. Jaws will tell you what that key, and most other keystrokes is supposed to do. and if you hear nothing the keyboard is probably damaged. You toggle this mode off by pressing JawsKey plus Numrow1 again. This will work even with your key echo set to none. Hi John, I used jaws help key and any key I pushed told me it's function except the escape key. So, I guess my escape key is damaged. Thanks for those instructions.
