Hi, try this instruction, you don't need to go to control panel. This is what I do when I want to increase or decrease my JAWS volume. While on desktop, shift tab ones, left arrow to volume, enter. This works only if the Volume icon is already in the task tray, which it is not by default. So you still have to access the Sounds and Audio Devices option on the Control Panel to check the appropriate box to place it there.
