Hi same here. I use alt and I for insert then arrow down to either attachment or I think file and press enter. Instead of opening the Word document you want to attach, try going to you're my Documents folder and highlight the document you want to attach. Next press your applications key and arrow down to, send to and press enter. Arrow down to, Mail Recipient and press enter. This will open your default email client and you can go from there.
