Re: [JAWS-Users] how to see the titles of a song in Windows mediaplayer

2009-05-16 Thread Brian Lee

Hello Andres,

I do not use classic menus. You might try turning off the classic menus but
leaving Windows Media Player in full mode view. After turning off classic
menus then try using the info I sent in my previous post. I have pasted the
info below. The list view choice from the now playing menu works for
playlists, but I am not sure about for a live stream from the Internet.
Also, the info shown below is for Windows Media Player 11.

Hello Andres,

One way to get a list of songs being played in Windows Media Player is to
turn on the list pane. When in Windows Media Player use tab key to move
to the Now playing menu button and use enter key or spacebar. Use down
arrow in the resulting menu to find the choice for showing the list pane and
press enter key. You can then use tab key to the list of songs being
played. Use up and down arrow keys through the list. JAWS will say if the
song that you move on to with the arrow keys is the currently or now playing
song.

Take care.

Hello.
first, I don't find the Windows media player button, I don't know why.
I have Windows media player in full mode and with the clasic menus. I
just see the meta data and some other buttons but I don't find the
Windows media player button that you say.
and, the ACB radio tuner is a software that allow us to listen all the
stations of ACB radio. Interactive, Cafe, main stream, world and
treasure trove.
you can get it from here: http://www.acbradio.org

I know that in the ACB radio interactive's home page I can get the
title of the song that I'm currently listening, but I'm a very
active ACB radio listener, so I want to know how to do it. I use the
ACB radio tuner with Windows media player and JAWS 8.

Hi Andrés,

Do you see a Windows media Button? If you tab after that, you should see a
Now Playing button. Tab again, and there's a now Playing menu button.
I haven't followed this from the beginning. In the view menu, you need to
press enter on View Enhancements to have that checked. Make sure you have
Full Mode checked by pressing enter on it also from the view menu. There
are about 30 tab stops in the Windows Media Player pane.

Hello.
I'm sorry but I can't find the Now playing button. I press the tab key
but I can't find it. I see an option called Rotate metadata, and
metadata button, but it only shows the name of the radio station, in
this case is ACBR i, and the KBPS of the streaming, but any
more. I remember that I put the ACB radio stations like favourites
in screamer radio, but I delete all the stations to listen it with
Windows media player and the ACB radio tuner.
what can I do in this case? greetings from Medellín Colombia, Andres
