Re: [JAWS-Users] safari and JAWS
It takes a little longer to load a Web page - the Apple default page - but it does. (I also tried it on an RSS feed. It brought that up ok.) .) However, nothing is read by JAWS. i also read a few reviews and the reviewers, while being favourable to Apple in General, were not impressed (were rather underwhelmed, in fact)) by Safari For Windows. It is very mouse-intensive, and does not conform to many Windows standards - which it will have to do more of if JAWS can begin to work with it. Intensive scripting, at least, would be required there. . (I thought of having that job lined up for a few people, should they seek alternative employment! grins. I uninstalled it again, after I'd read the reviews. Anyone who's got Apple products on their computer, it might show up in their Apple Updates. - Original Message - From: Alex Stone [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Saturday, March 22, 2008 8:58 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] safari and JAWS Carlene, how did you manage to get it to load a webpage, 'cos I couldn't. Carlene, how did you manage to get it to load a webpage, 'cos I couldn't. Cheers. Hi, I already have firefox. It works great for me, but most of the time, I use IE. Jeffrey Check out my blog! The URL is http://jeffreyshockley.livejournal.com You learn something new every day! Geoff and all, I then suggest you contact the accessibility team at Apple (I shall give you the e-mail address if anyone wants it) and comment your findings to them. They seem to be very willing to improve the accessibility of products, at least for their mac products anyway.
