Re: [JAWS-Users] safari and JAWS

2008-03-23 Thread Flor Lynch
It takes a little longer to load a Web page - the Apple default page - but
it does. (I also tried it on an RSS feed. It brought that up ok.) .)
However, nothing is read by JAWS. i also read a few reviews and the
reviewers, while being favourable to Apple in General, were not impressed
(were rather underwhelmed, in fact)) by Safari For Windows. It is very
mouse-intensive, and does not conform to many Windows standards - which it
will have to do more of if JAWS can begin to work with it. Intensive
scripting, at least, would be required there. . (I thought of having that
job lined up for a few people, should they seek alternative employment!
grins. I uninstalled it again, after I'd read the reviews. Anyone who's
got Apple products on their computer, it might show up in their Apple
Updates.

Hi:

Though I'm not really having issues with
Firefox or IE, my husband found an
internet browser called Safari. Has anybody
heard of this, and if so, how does
it perform with JAWS? I opened it and looked
at some of the menus. It appears
that a lot of the hot keys would with the
JAWS ones, but there might be a way
around this. It appears to be put out as an
Apple product for Windows. Thanks

Same here. I'd recommend to you all, Mozilla Firefox! It's free, more secure

than IE, and, of course, works with the major screen readers! Get it at
