 Hi,
It is my understanding that you'll be notified of its availability but
it won't automatically install. If someone reserves a copy they have a
year to install it. As such it would stand to reason that it wouldn't
automatically install on the first day as then there'd be no reason
for the one year window. I think confusion stems from the fact that
many outlets have reported that updates for windows 10 I.E. once
windows 10 is installed will become automatic for home users but the
update to windows 10 itself is not automatically installed. I hope
this serves to clarify rather than muddy the waters.

 Hello David,

I found this update had already been installed on both my laptop and Dell.
I followed pretty much your instructions here, and have removed it.
 First, thanks for these steps.
Second, if someone has this update still on their systems and not
removing it, will window's 10 automatically be installed?

Thanks for any help regarding this matter!

As I understand it, there is soon to be an update of JAWS that will. I am
waiting until JAWS 17 comes out this fall, then plan to get 10 and 17. But
then, you know what can happen when you plan...? The thinking is to wait for
10 to come out so I won't have to learn all over again, should I do anything

As has been mentioned on this and other lists repeatedly, as of
now no, but
FS is working on making JFW 16 compatible and 17 will be.

Re: [JAWS-Users] the get windows 10 appears on my system tray

2015-06-23 Thread Holger Fiallo
you will need to go to check to see if your PC is. It will tell you so. If
you do not have jaws 16 will tell you that previous jaws will not work with
window 10. FS will come out with update for jaws 16 to work with it.

it suppose to show in your notification. It has been there for
most of us
for a month I think. You will need to get jaws 16 to make it
work with
window 10.
