you mentioned zoom there a while ago. that is in the View menu, and has
nothing much to do with the Window state. Now that you have apparently
set your window to be maximized, when you press ALT+SPACE, X you should
hear Maximize unavailable. Are you therefore talking about something

that depends on how it is set up on your Desktop. for a start, there is
a difference between the Internet Properties dialogue in Internet

Internet Explorer, Properties dialogue, which is the one you meant.

Well
If you highlight the icon for the internet on your desk top
Now tap alt and enter
This will bring up properties
Now tab until you get to run in:
Your choices are normal minimized or maximized
using your arrow keys choose maximize
continue tabbing until you get to okay and tap the space bar
Hope this helps

Now tab

Are you sure you are running the internet as a maximized window?
You can check this in the properties

Hey Gang,
I'm running XP, IE8, and jaws 13.0.638.
Ok here is the problem.
Every time I open up a webpage it is minimized.
It doesn't happen when I open up documents, my email, just on the
internet,

so what do I need to do to fix this?
I went into the menu bar and checked out the zoom, and it is at 100.
Thanks for any help.

Re: [JAWS-Users] the internet and webpages

2012-05-07 Thread Patti
When I go on the internet every webpage is Minimized , but I still can use
the website. I did everything that was told to me.

Patti
you mentioned zoom there a while ago. that is in the View menu, and has
nothing much to do with the Window state. Now that you have apparently set
your window to be maximized, when you press ALT+SPACE, X you should hear
Maximize unavailable. Are you therefore talking about something else
when you say that it is 'minimized'?

I checked this out, and it is setting on normal.
Thanks for trying. I put it on Maximized, but it still comes up
Minimized.

Now what do I try.
Patti

The properties to be dealt with here are not to be confused with the
properties in internet Explorer itself. Microslip there! Find internet
Explorer in your Start menu, All Programs; Shift+f10 on it, and arrow up
to Properties; press Enter. Now in the Shortcut tab control, press the
tab key a few times, till you come to the Run combo box, which has three
settings: Normal window; Minimized; Maximized. the best option seems to
be Normal, although you can choose Maximized. (If you do choose
Maximized, Internet Explorer may take longer to load [pages. such has
been my experience.) Tab your way to OK, enter, and close.
